  1. I don't think 25-06 is a wildcat anymore since Remington commercialized it in the 1950's. Its a great round, I've taken a lot of deer with it.
  2. I use a single stage Lee Breach Lock press. I load 270 Win and WSM and 25-06.
  3. I hand load 270 (win and wsm), and 25-06. I like ballistic tip bullets for deer. Nosler or Hornady SST's. That being said I tried some Sierra Game Kings and they are awesome (acurate and in weight retention). For commercial loadings, I've had great performance from Hornady and Federal's Fusion line.
  4. I load 25-06 with a 117 gr Hornady SST. It liquifies lungs!!!!!!
  5. I have one in 35 Whelen, I use it as a brushgun. I like it a lot. I had a 7400 before that in 270, all of the accuracy and feeding problems in the 7400 seem to have been worked out with the 750's. I'm happy with mine. 30-06 is an awesome and versitle round. My only advice with any semi-auto is stay away from super high velocity loadings.
  6. how are the 2's, the blood trails look impressive but any problems with the blades deploying?
  7. Don't know if anyone is the in market for a new hunting compound. I bought a Bear Strike back in January at the end of the Lond Island season when it went on sale at Dicks. I just started to shoot it now and WOW! This bow completely out shoots the PSE Madness I was using before. Its quieter, more acurate and forgiving than the PSE. It draws smoother and has no hand shock when its fired too. I'm shooting one pin out to 25 yards with a 400 grain Easton Epic 30" arrow. The bow at 70 pounds is 272 FPS with the 400 grain arrow. I plan on using it with Rage two blade heads this year. I can't seem to get a straight answer on the three blade heads in NY. My local DEC doesn't know and Albany said they were fine, but I don't think the peron I spoke to understood my question. I have read a lot of posts that say they are illegal. Anyone know for certain?
  8. Hey I'm new to this site, but in case anyone hasn't realized, Knight Rifles are back in business. Their new stuff looks a lot like their old rifles, but that's okay because they were solid rifles to begin with. I've been using a Big Horn Magnum since 1996. I have no desire to hunt with any other inline.
