  1. Well if one had already been granted their would be no need to grant another, I spoke to my own attorney and he said it’s true , he will be able to gain access across one of the adjacent landowners propertys You can landlocked land in NY anymore ... So I guess we shall see
  2. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/25/us/rachel-levine.amp.html
  3. What’s the front say ? Below Canon should say model
  4. Humm well every Canon I have looked at , and 6 were just today , all had 14 gage steel .. The door gaps were huge , they didn’t shut tight , the door could be flexed easy .. Now maybe yours is different ...
  5. The big Browning ultras at BPS weighs 800 pounds !!! Its 12 gage bent sheet metal ... and the bolt assembly looks massive until you look behind the door panel and see how they are attached to the handle ...
  6. What brand is it ? Ive never seen a big box store in 10 gage ..
  7. Yea much better ! im going to check these out https://www.sturdysafe.com/a/s/pages/how-sturdy-safes-are-built
  8. I’ll take that bet ! 14 gauge I can put a screwdriver thru .. My current safe was given to me and I also had a place that it was hidden. Again , if main concern is keeping kids out or stopping local kids break in the thin big box safes are fine . If you want security get 3/16 “ min plate or thicker.. I looked at the TSC safe and I could open the door and hold my foot against the bottom and pull on the top and flex the whole door ! 14 gage sheet metal is like .0075 thick... a human hair is like .003 Also the big problem with the cheapo safes are the door gap is huge .. You get what you pay for
  9. Yea the crown isn’t made of glass . Setting the crown down on carpet isn’t going to hurt anything .
  10. Note that the TSC safes are made cheaper , thinner metal .. Even the non TSC ones are thin sheet metal . Its fine for keeping kids out but I’m looking for plate steel like 3/16” min thickness . Something I can’t rip the door off with a pry bay easily . The ones are TSC are 14 gauge ! That’s thin !!!
  11. The crown setting on padded carpet would be fine
  12. Yea I don’t do it but I don’t have that many guns
  13. Yea it wouldn’t hurt the crown ...many guys store this way so oil won’t run into the wood stock
  14. I’ve seen some guys say stager them muzzle up and muzzle down
  15. They are 12 gage steel which is sheet metal .. I want it plate at least in the door . I just want a us made quality .. I have a Redhead now which is basically the same as the Cannon They are fine for keeping kids out and most thief’s
  16. Yea I looked at Cannon , very light weight sheet metal The door alone is just bent sheet metal ,, Sides are even worse .. I want steel , like 3/16” min Thx
  17. Yea that seems to be the case ,,, why they get away with overstating I don’t understand
  18. It needs to hold 12 long guns and some paperwork etc I saw the YouTube vids showing most are very thin sheet metal .,and can be opened easy
  19. Ha not me , I’ll start at 62 .. never know how long you have ... my fathers family all lived into their late 80s My father died at 69 ...no telling how long ya got !
  20. People don’t factor in if they wait three years past 62 , they just lost 60k in my case .. So if I get an extra 800 a month by waiting I have 5 yrs longer to make up the 60 I lost by waiting
  21. My thing is I’d like to buy a new modern house , if it doesn’t have much land I’d also like to buy some wooded hunting land near the house .. Then retire , plan to head south a few months in winter .. probably rent a place or get a motor home ? And possibly do the same rent a place on the St Lawerence river for a few summer months .. So in that order .. I want the house to be something my wife can handle if I kick
  22. We are looking too... I have a small home now in the village but I want a more modern / newer home with a few acres of land or lots of wooded land. Prices are crazy now and it looks like we will be spending 350 to 400k in this market . Im willing to pay up for the right place..we have the money and no kids so it’s time to enjoy the fruits of our labor.. Our house will sell easy .. I’m sick of neighbors being so close .. Wife retired 2 yrs ago had state pension and ss I’m still working but pretty much set my own hours and they pay me good I’ll be 62 this year
  23. Ok I have a new Leupold and a Bushnell The Leupold is going on my shotgun and the Bushnell is on my 243 When adjusting the turret on top says UP with an arrow This moves the point of impact UP correct ? Not sure but I think the scope on my crossbow is the opposite ... Having a brain cramp
