  1. You can get Williams fire sights. They bolt onto rib and are adjustable. A bead is not a sight and you’ll need one. A fire sight is cheap and may help you start out
  2. Foster slugs are undersized. They’re made to go down bore wIth many/most chokes. They are never snug and often slop down barrel. This affects accuracy and I doubt they’d get full advantage in a rifled barrel. They’re fine though if you stay within effective range whatever that might be. That goes for anything btw. Sabots were made for rifled barrels. The sabot grabs the rifling.
  3. If it’s for deer why didn’t you buy a deer gun?
  4. I’ve got property next to Stewart with dead deer in a swamp on it.
  5. Squirrel from my understanding the EHD does something to accelerate the body’s break down. Finding a healthy deer if that what your deer was would be different. I’ve heard the elevated body temperatures has something to do with it. Not sure if anything else is involved. Realize too when even a completely raw hide is dried the hair could stay attached and the meat would even stay. Imagine dried meat. It’s not disintegrating quickly. Also think of trapper skins or even those used by fly tiers. They can last a long time dry. I’d assume if you got it in Dec it was cold. Cold air slows break down. If it dried out and you kept it dry it could stay that way extra long. If you want nature to help I’d help nature by providing things needed for break down. To be honest. I woulda just skinned it. If it’s now dry soak it to rehydrate
  6. Guys I’ve seen a couple mid identifications here. Some are good too but don’t post a mushroom or it’s edibility unless you’re sure. A possibility perhaps. Never more than that. For those just starting out there’s some real easy ones with no or limited poisonous lookalikes. Start with them. Adam Harrington from Learn Your Land you tube is real good. Look them up. He could help folks learn. Looks like some on here could as well. The problem is someone real green won’t know who’s right and who’s sorta guessing. Be real sure what you have or the advice given. Same with any plants or berries.
