    What

Paula I'm sure you cooking is great.I was just wondering what happened to a family times/meals.I grow much of what I cook and the things/meat that I do not have space to raise/grow I get from local farm.

    Arrows

How does one bend check aluminium Arrows?with alum I can remove tip and blow air through arrow for balance/bent I have an attachment that I made for a drill.I agree with most the carbon is the way to go but I am in tune with alum/also have a return value per lbs
  3. Grampy Altamont is not that far from myself maybe we could do a weekend/Saturday hunt some time.I sure love the leather stocking region.
  4. I am going squirre/smallgame/ hunting in the morning,Is there anyone that live's near by that would like to join me?

    What

What has happened to a good old fashion Sunday/Family dinner?I myself i cook 85%of my meals at home we go to dinner afew times a year not on a regular bases like some on here do.The thing is why not cook more at home?I work and earn a good bit of cash and would rather cook or eat at home.I'm just wondering what happened to family/times/meals?My folk's/parents are both past so going to a brother/sisters house is close still not the way I was brang up
  6. Grilled ham and cheese with a cup of chicken soup.
  7. How about a no big game season for the entire State including farm/dmps?In exchange you get to hunt squirrels/pheasants unlimited

    Arrows

While we debate on other subjects who still shoots aluminum arrows?I still shoot the Easton #2117 with the muzzy broad heads.Out of date, and sure the carbon fiber are lighter and less noise but have been known to shred like toothpicks.
  9. It is simple to understand why we have these topics/discussions over and over.Every year/day we have new people getting into either hunting or just sport shooting. What firearm I decide to use is my choice it may not be what you would use.I have been around guns my entire life and been hunting for nearly 30 years and know what works. The choice of firearm that I use is do to the area that I hunt. The enjoyment of being able to have game come closer in my opinion makes myself a more effective hunter.
  10. I wouldn't use in the house, but would have no problem using outside I would look into getting a gas logset and enjoy on the patio.
  11. Nice why not use it?this is a nice looking fireplace
  12. Accuracy is not only with the firearm/ammo it is with the shooter. Most accuracy tests are done from a bench not offhand bigger is not allways the key to a rifle/gun is what you are comfortable shooting.I'm not against bigger larger cal.s I just do not have the area to shoot them.Other than Big game the .22 is a great round canbe used in more ways then a larger cal rifle
  13. Heck if I were out to just kill My 357 handy rifle would do the job.
  14. I guess that I'm from the old school.Of course I could take my 270 Winchester and kill a coyote at long ranges.I just do not understand why you all need such a large cal./rifle to hunt a Dog.The 223 243 just is a waste of ammo to me.I do not have the land to shoot long ranges at most 130yrds max.The other reason that I pointed to was what you could earn with a smller hole in the hide. What do you all do with the coyote pelts/dogs leave them where they are killed?
  15. Several but that is hunting get some loose some.I did say for the areas that I hunt.If you have big tracts of land by all means use what you want to.When I grow up I wil purchase a 50 cal BMG lol.
  16. The other reason for using the .22 is the areas that I hunt.I have shot Coyote with a shotgun 12 and 20 guage makes a mess.I sell the pelts so less damage is better
  17. I myself have a killed many with a .22.This works for me.If I had to choose an all round fire arm The .22 wins.Shot placement is the key.
  18. That is a good idea,I do have a leftover piece of 6/58 pipe left from my gate post this should work

    Beer

Paula you are not crazy at all in 2 weeks in Our great state is beer week. This would be alot of fun to do.They have one of these In NYC every year
  21. So many times it has been said Shot placement is the key to a Hunter or Target shooter.More gun/bullet is only going to be accurate to the shooter. To say that a 22 is undergunned for any game is a farce.
  22. How so?Most of the fire power you all use is overkill. Its one thing to hunt and kill them but if you are someone looking to sell the pelts than the smaller hole in the hide makes more money.I remember my Dad using a club to kill them when he had his traps.
  23. I was at Tractor supply yesterday and they have a barrel stove that looks cool. This got me thinking about outdoor fire places/fire pits. For many years I have been using an old truck wheel for a fire.I have an old oil tank and think I will try to make a fire pit/smoker out of it.Has anyone done anything like this if so what or how would you use for the chimney?I was going to try using an old muffler that I have. any other ideas
  24. The Ruger 1022 with cci longs work fine.
  25. Sausage and peppers onions in the crock pot covered wit V8 juice with a side of buttered noodles.
