Just purchased the Barnett Ghost 400 Custom. Plan on using it during muzzleloading season and during late archery in Suffolk County. The state is slowly introducing them for one reason only......MONEY! Plus I heard a rumor that once a certain amount of states get on board with crossbow hunting all the crossbow companies are gonna give voluntary kickbacks also known to the common folk as a bribe or unlawful gratuity to the D.E.C. As well as several other government wildlife agencies.

Hello all, I have a few old Fred Bear Recurves that could use a nice refinishing job to bring them back to life. All 3 bows are very much shootable and aren't warped or bent in anyway. Im not concerned with them losing value from the refinish. Id probably never sell them anyway. They will probably either be displayed (once I get a nice display for them) or Ill end up hunting with them, or both! Either way id like to get them all refinished. Im located in Queens, New York, right on the border of Nassau on Queens near Great Neck. If ANYONE knows someone who does refinishing or can help me out in anyway, I would greatly appreciate it because I can't find anyone! Thanks again-Mike

Hello all, My name is Mike and Im from Queens, New York. My girlfriend and I are both looking to Join a hunting club somewhere upstate within 2-3 hours driving range. We are looking to hunt (deer, bear, turkey, coyote) and some bird hunting if the club allows it. I understand that a lot of club memberships are through referrals or through family but unfortunately I can't find anyone I know thats a member to a club and I don't have any family thats involved in an active club. I can't find anything on google or yahoo and living in the city doesn't really help with meeting people who hunt (other then this site!) Pete Clare is the the best in the business. That goes for Turkey hunting and Turkey Dogs. Iv been going to Turkey Trot since I was a child. I will be going to Turkey Trot next month for a couple only Turkey Hunt with Dogs. Pete is the best and his operation is FIRST CLASS all the way.
