Is there anyone aware of the Dutchess County Trappers Association? I'm looking to contact the President or any member that may have information on DCTA. Particularly, looking to find out where and when they meet. Thanks Mike Finn President Rockland County Trappers Assoc. Rockland County NYSTA Rep.

The 15th depending on when you submitted the application will allow you to deer hunt the 15-16. If you submitted your application after 9/16 you can't hunt till the 17th.

This is a temporary fix. The intended map when you hover over the county shows the name of the county and what region it's in.

Not sure about the early bear season. Safe to assume no guns before Nov 1st.

Turkey - good. Birds - non existent - Predator - Good - squirrels - to many. Can hunt predator at night with separate permit. No matter what you hunt. You need to scout and learn the areas.

In case you don't know. Sterling Forest does not allow gun hunting till November 1st and a permit is needed.

I went for the first time last year. Had a lot of fun. Tasted great two. Only problem I have to figure out is what to keep them in while actively hunting them. I've been carrying a 5 gallon bucket with a hard lid buts it's a pain to lug around. You crack the lid to put one in and one gets out. I prefer to dispatch out of view. Any suggestions?

Anyone who fishes Island Pond. You won't be to get the key until June. They are doing work on the road so they won't let anyone in. If you get your boat inspected now. You will have to go back to the office to get the key but you won't have to bring the boat back.
