20 ft is a good height not only for scent forgivness but also visibility deer look up yes but not 20 ft up i like to use tress that are of mutiple limbs for cover if no cover simply use cut off pine branches stick them in your stand it works great trust me I can honestly say ive never been busted!! also the new hunter safety sysytem lite is awesome its light and made fantastic it cost me 90$ and ill have till i dont hunt no more whick isnt any time soon guarenteed 90 $ is a great investment for your life and family and yes 10 or 20 ft you really should wear a harness your neck will thank you.. theres no reason to be higher than 20 ft as that is pretty high up if your getting busted in tree stand your to low try 20 ft use pine brances they stay green all hunting season as well as give off a pine scent FORGET the wind and just hunt @ 20 ft GO BUY A HUNTER SAFTY SYSTEM its a great product that will last years to come if not forever get the ultra lite new version its just back pack straps very lite and no restrictions. guys good luck Besafe in every thing you do while hunting Have Fun. IF ITS NOT BROKE DONT FIX IT!! do you use a pull up rope i hope consider your self lucky id just go over every allen head bolt and give em a crank just to be sure it didnt knock somethin loose. be carefull and use a puul up rope if you already dont.

120's nice deer probally 3.5 yrs old

these are the bucks that need to be passed by everyone granted you might not get to shoot him but someone the yr after or the yr after that will have more then a memory but a trophy deer. NY hunters should shoot 3 yr olds or better if we all did that we would have a abundance of 120" + BUCKS. They guys I hunt with shoot 3yr olds or better and some times we dont fill are tags but thats what doe tags are for. hes 2 1/2 and 85 inches no wheres near a trophy yet. another yr he might be 115 which is a good deer let the small ones go youll feel just as good leting him walk versus killing him young. take it the 9th thru your 2 weeks that way you can get a few days to gun hunt if your in the southern zone. in deer and deerhunting they Charlie say s the 9th---18th are the 9 days to be in the woods looks and sounds about right based on the action so far. good luck any time in SWEET NOVEMBER is good

BUY A CVA ACCURRA I PAID 350.00 put a nikon bdc scope on it the guns very simmilar to a pro hunter nice gun light balances well fluted barrel thumbhole black and stainless nice gun Im glad i got it good luck whatever you do get be sure to top it with a good scope.

Things here in 8y have been real slow kinda unusuall this yr for me but hoping this cold snap starting this thursday gets things started also just re gained permission on 1 of my friend and mines better if not best spots so lookin forward to finally seeing some GOOD bucks.
