Nothing "mass" about it, 3 dead. Cops showed up to evict a guy, he didn't want to be evicted, shot the cop, hit an innocent passerby, then the cops shot him.
I guess they and I called it mass for lack of better words? And regardless of how many people it takes getting shot to define "mass" I guess it's just the facts that people think it's ok to shoot who ever they want for what ever reason they want.
Shootings were police are targeted and innocent people getting killed will get make headlines.
Its more than just hype when people are loosing their lifes!!

I have never voted in my life. And the reason mainly being is that i'm young so I only lived threw one presidential election. I don't feel that Obama has done much of anything he is claiming to have put so many new jobs in place but the unemployment rate is higher than ever.
But on the other hand, I firmly believe that my elders including people like my grandmother that has worked her hole life for what she has should be able to have health care and benefits that are needed to live!
I'm stuck and chances are I won't be voting again!!

Your right shootings do happen everyday but it just seems like people are getting shot for absolutely no reason at all. And law enforcement are getting targeted directly.

I have now heard this to, i'm wondering if it was a college community for students only??
Not to sure why the college was involed other than being near it if it's not a college community.

Thats good to hear, it's scary to think they would rather have youth play video games then be outside and able to hunt. I'm young as it is and have seen some very serious changes in the world for the worse in the last ten years. I don't even know many people my age that like to hunt or even have the ambition to do so.
I took my bow course so i'm able to hunt bow and I was talking to the main instructor he was telling me he has seen a huge decline in hunting class attendance and the class size has decreased. But only time will tell.

Yes sir, something is weird. But at the same time between the media, news reports and being front page on the paper i'm afraid people think this is the new trend or something.

And I just heard on the news that 1 cop has died... R.I.P to a man who served his country and paid the ultimate sacrifice.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Officials in College Station have confirmed an "active shooter" has been taken into custody following an off-campus shooting Monday afternoon.
Officials with Texas A&M have confirmed more than one person was injured. According to the Associated Press, College Station police spokeswoman Rhonda Seaton told CNN multiple people have been shot, including law enforcement, but she doesn't know the extent of the injuries.
According to the Texas A&M University website, officials first issued a "Code Maroon" around 12:30 p.m. Monday. The College Station Police Department reported an active shooter in the area immediately southeast of the intersection of Welborn Rd and George Bush Drive. Everyone was asked to avoid the area, and residents in the immediate area were told to remain inside their residences.
Ten minutes later, the CSPD said "the active shooter is in the 200 block of Fidelity Dr." and to "stay away from the area." About 5 minutes later, they reported that the "active shooter" was in custody.

I am all for beer, and I love the Adirondacks. But never until after 5 pm. Thats just style..
I meant to type bear haha, but I wouldn't mind a early beer only after I have a successful hunt. But hey if i'm in the ADK mountians rather bear or beer you won't hear a complain.

Maybe not very old but well worth hanging on the wall that rack is huge, even after it sheds it's velvet that rack will be big. Not like you can eat the horns but if you can eat the deer while looking at the nice set of horns hanging on the wall thats even better.

No, just bass, walleye, white perch and drum. is all ive ever got out of there. Most of the Pike ive ever caught were out of the St Lawerance.
Nice, I was intending on hitting the lake this weekend but that didn't work out. I'll be trying to go this weekend and fishing for bass myself. I've been working on a few plots for deer season! I'll let ya know how I make on on the lake.

I always just drove around my local area in the spring/summer and found state signs. Then just a walk in the woods and some scouting. Get yourself a cheap GPS if you don't have one. Mine was $100 at walmart.
What kind of gps is it I have been looking into buying one. And hows the hunting in Oneida county? I just moved back up here and i'm looking forward to do some hunting with my NY hunting buds, thanks.

I don't go as often as I'd like, but when I do, I mostly do primative style camping, backpack in with a tent, gather firewood at the site and cook on that. Get the best nights sleep ever out there. That evening summer air is also a good reminder of why I camp. Now if I could find a good camping location to do camp hunting, like they do out west, that would be something!
Taking hunting trips to the ADK mountians for early beer is a great idea and semi local if you live in NY..
But I second the tent and back pack style now thats really camping. Watching a flat screen tv cooking on the stove just doesn't give off the hole camping feel to me personally.

Why in the world would the governmenet not want the yought hunting. Sounds like a set up for failure, they make less and less schools, parks,and things to do to keep the kids out of trouble. But they make more and more prisons and legal types of drugs. What a disgrace.

Figure with the start of bow season 2 weeks early they might have to start sending them out a little early. Just a thought??

Anderson Cooper of CNN reported, young black man shot while in police custody in Jonesboro Arkansas. Jonesboro police say the young man shot himself in the head. Victim’s mother said police killed her son.
The entry womb was to the right of temple of the victim’s head. According to the police, the victim shot himself while handcuffed. Police insist that the young man shot himself in the head. A 380 automatic pistol was used in the shooting.
According to CNN, Ms. T. Carter, victim’s mother said her son was left handed and he had spoken o his girlfriend prior to his arrest. That does not seem like anyone suicidal.
The police cars at the scene were equipped with cameras but were positioned back- to- back therefore the cameras were not in a position to take pictures. The body was taken from a police car to the hospital; therefore, the crime scene was altered.
Carter was arrest on a $10 bag or marijuana. FBI is looking into the matter. The FBI will determine if the victim’s shot was suicide or homicide. The FBI website reports, among the single bias hate-crime incidents, 70.0 percent were victims of offender’s anti-black bias, which is more than any other ethnic group. Overheard this story on CNN news, black male was found dead in the back of a police car and the say he committed suicide while handcuffed. Very weird sounding story to me I really can't see how this could be possible. Sounds like murder, anyone else see or hear about this!!

I'm not 100% but I think they are doing the youth hunt, I over heard a few instructors at my local shooting range talking about guiding the hunt. But like I said i'm not 100% sure.
