I agree, looks like Chris was gung ho about killing it, when truly it is more of a USDA loose livestock issue than a conservation one.

In regards to my post, figured I'd make it clear that if they had bothered to call the number on my posted signs I would have gladly allowed them to look for their wounded animals.

Douchebags behind me opened up on some deer yesterday. My buddy saw a doe with a missing leg go running by. My lower woods had trails with a lot of blood spatter, my upper woods you can see where someone trespassed to follow the tripod doe trail

This doe was sticking her head out from behind a tree making faces at me. So I shot her in the neck at about 150yds.

Took a doe tonight . .300 win mag to the heart at 60 yds. One step and dead.

Here's a different issue to ponder. Today I'm hunting a property I have permission to use but don't know well. So I decide to stalk a little to see more areas I haven't seen before. As I'm going I see a doe trotting down with a buck in tow. I drop to my knee and draw, I have him! Then I see the posted sign. I wait hoping she will bring him across, she doesn't, they leave. No one was around, no one would probably care... But its someone else's.... Or in the world of rules only kinda apply to me should the shot be seen as acceptable.

When I first started hunting I had a person who told me the same thing "so long as you can still see your sights , take it". I wish NY operated on the half hour before to half hour rule, I would have been able to take the deer I saw today at 5.02.
