  1. I think I would almost take a decent piebald buck over a big stud. Just a personal preference though.

    ALL DAY HUNTS

I plan on doing some all day sits on the coming weekends. What type of stands are you guys sitting in and what do you do to keep from going insane for 11 hours?
  3. Hey guys sorry about not responding. I've been really busy lately between school, sports, and finding time to get into the woods. I live near Colton NY which is pretty close to the Adirondack Park.
  4. That's awesome! I've never had any luck calling deer in. I haven't done it a whole lot but I'm going to try it a little more this year so I can get a grasp on it.
  5. Hey everybody. I've been hooked on the outdoors since I was a kid whether it was fishing for brook trout with my dad to spending all my weekends at hunting camp in the fall since I can remember. This is my fourth year hunting. I'm still in school and sports so my hunting is limited somewhat more than most. But I still manage to get out once or twice during the week and I'm out all weekend. I prefer bow hunting to rifle hunting because I think its a lot more of a challenge, but I still love both. I'm just looking to pick up some tips for NY hunting and share my passion with some fellow hunters.
  6. That's a great first deer! If that was my first deer I would be smiling from ear to ear though.
  7. If its a food source, watering hole, or a travel route they will most likely be back. The food and water are essential to their life and the need the travel routes they know to get to them.
  8. That's pretty cool! I've never found a fully mushroomed bullet after passing through an deer.
