Thanks for all the responses. I dont want to tell the guys that taught me how to hunt that they shouldnt do anything, but I know the body doesnt recover like it used to for them and just worries me alittle. Luckily they are in good shape and hopefully never becomes an issue. Was just curious if annyone ran into these thoughts before. Good luck all!

At what age would you ask your hunting partners to stop climbing into treestsnds? I realize there's no easy over 65 rule as everyone health is different. We ( myself and cousins) do not allow are fathers into hang ons or climbers anymore, only ladderstands we put up for( with)them. I think those are less likely to have accidents.. Not sure at which point to push ground blinds on them. Any thoughts appreciated.

I was on another NY hunting website and saw photo of a fella and his turkey. In the description for beard length it states"Froze off". My understanding of that desc is that it wwas a beardless tom. Doesnt that make it a non harvestable bird? Or are there provisions in the rules that allow for this? Just curious

I am hoping someone out there can help me. I am looking for a blaze orange and camo jacket. The only ones I can find are heavy weight parkas. (cabelas, gander, etc) I am sick of wearing my vest that gets wet and heavy and cold. I enjoy still hunting and the occasional two or three man push and am worried the heavy jackets will get me to lathered up. Anyone see anything light like this?? Thanks in advance

Ive read the OP twice now and still dont see what an ECO would do but waste his time. What crime did this poor fella commit? It was never stated if he was closer than 500ft from your house, it was never stated that he shot onto your property. Last year you harassed him for walking the brush on the border? If he was on his side of the line another non issue. You not wanting him to hunt his property is an issue. Just curious when you bought your dream home propery "back in the woods", did you consider locating the house in the safest place for your family, or just high and dry?. Im sure your neighbors smelly farm is quite the nuissance as well. Also, whether or not he has permission from the other neighbors really is non of your concern, its theirs. On the other hand, 1 acre is tough to hunt without permission from neighbors though. Stay safe

Alot of shooting opening day all around Nine Mile area. I saw a few does and had small bucks grunting and chasing around me. Big boys stayed away though. Get back out there after turkey day.

Checed cameras last weekend, day time pics on the rise. Vacation starts thurs, for 10 days. Hopefully activity around 9 mile is prime. Will try and update this Sunday.

Looks like someone posted they stole another hunters climber. Sounds like people who do illegal stuff do post on here quite proudly.
