Yeah printed on their own state websites what the carry rate is. The QDMA even supports and fought for AR to protect yearlings in CWD positive states. Another support of the movement of CWD. You can try and put your little spin on anything you want but the masses(not you 4 that like to make your own facts) can read and see that the QDMA group are doing nothing to protect the deer or habitat from the spread of CWD. Have yet to see them ask their states or members or see them change their thoughts on what they think would be the best harvest plan for CWD positive states. Kinda sounds like support to me and oh so many others!

Ask these Illinois guys how the whole 'work with them' is going IDNR makes no changes for the 2014/15 DEER SEASON.... UNBELIEVABLE!!!! IDNR made no changes for the 2014/15 Deer Season after being hit hard by EHD for 2 years.. The Whitetail Deer Alliance attempted to help DNR, but all efforts were for nothing.. I believe the DNR Director Marc Miller is going to go down in history for destroying what was one of the best Deer herds in the country to one of the worst! You can now see outfitters who once had 140-150" minimum scrambling to stay afloat and dropping their minimums to 120-130 inches. Spoke to "Pete Switzer", past President of Illinois Taxidermy Association, and he is in disbelief..., his once "Whitetail Deer" only taxidermy shop (due to volume of bucks being brought in.), has now had to take on "African Game" to help his lost revenue. I can't believe people are going to pay the extremely costly permit price's in order to hunt in Illinois (especially Central-Illinois)... Take a look at Pike, nationally recognized for it's deer, now in dire-straits! You can call any taxidermy shop in the county and ask them about how they've been affected and you will hear how dismal it has been and you can do that in each county west to east (centrally). I just can't believe after all the complaints by business' and hunters that the DNR has just sat on their hands. I am thanking the god, that I had not bought property a few years back for deer hunting purposes, because I can see wooded acre prices dropping like a rock quickly.. I can say I personally am buying 1 archery permit (via-mail), 1 permit for firearm and don't know if I will be buying a muzzleloader permit, that's half of the permits I normally buy. This is off another website. I know a few people that live there and a few from up here that used to make the drive every year. Needless to say. After last year there will be no trips in the near future. What state will be next?

Yeah i guess i know what its like to have sportsmen fight against their own. So let me just ask this. You and Bubba think they want all guns. Lets for a second say thats true. What do you think they would do about animal control or hunting?
-
I could show you every cwd positive deer on either side of the fence. 1 study was not good enough because it was full of so called holes and now its shown the FACTS from 2 of the biggest players in CWD and their findings. Its the same all across the country. Dont want to shoot all the bullets in one round. This is going to be a long one!

You get a few wolves in town and they will need no help to make a living! Yotes seem to be doing their part with no help. How long do you want to get it right. Its only been what...30 years and they cant figure it out. They care about 1 thing $ paychecks! They will throw as many weapons and as many seasons that they want and the herd will always stay 20 steps ahead of them in 99% of the state. Man couldnt take them out, Disease could not take them out. Wolves will get the numbers down. It wont take them long to find the best food and they will get a foot in and call it home!

Yeah ok..Dig a little deeper. I only showed 2 easy states. But now if you want to go back to what the QDMA is doing to help spread CWD? How about their public fight and support to get AR restrictions in the state of Michigan to protect yearling bucks? IN A CWD POSITIVE STATE! You still want to continue with your BS...Looks as though every time you step into this argument, you get it handed to ya. Guess what? You have been served again!!!!

Man do you really think all this is anti driven? Yes the anti's want them all gone and always have and will. This is now in the hands of the money people. Politics! They/We/Us see no use or need for some of the weapons that have been put on the market and they will do away with them. And just them! The anti's didnt win before and they wont win now but the guys in the chairs do agree with them on this one and thats why it will be. They know how the DEC is funded and they also know about wildlife problems. Hunting guns and hunting of some kind will always be here. Even if the hunter numbers keep dropping there will always be the money driven trophy hunters. Money has and always will rule the day. I dont see it changing anytime soon.

Well thats an easy fix. I have not seen you answer to any of the truths and facts but on the other hand i have seen you bash and lie. You are now stuck to eat the crow and you find it not so tasty. You may want to dig a little deeper on growie but you can also exit the same door stage left if you cant handle reading the truth! Your Choice. We all have them remember?

The permit system works you say? Funny it was just your words that i read in a thread that said in your area of 8n they cant control the population with tags. I know i get 3 a year for that area and most of the guys i hunt with do the same. They never even reach their target numbers of permits that they want to give away from what i hear? You cant have it both ways. First off hunter numbers are on a steady drop and second the hunters that are left want trophies. If hunters cant get it done. Predators sure will. Farmers and Ins company says we want, they will get.

HaHa...Nosediving? how long can you 3 or 4 same posters keep trying to side step the truth? I show you fact after fact and statements over and over and even studies that have done. Yet its annoying. I guess you may want to stop going to this thread. It will really save you from seeing/facing your fears! The Truth!!

So do you think we will be left with the new XBow to do animal control or do you think hunting will be gone as we know it and sharpshooters will do the control? Anti.s have wanted all guns gone forever. They are still here. Now you have a little stronger group that see no need for some guns but they also know the needs of animal conservation. If you think for a second that they are going to let all that cash from hunters slip through their hands? Well maybe im not the deluded one as you call it. Sucks to have that feeling though. does it not? This is not the first time for some.

Illinois Chronic Wasting Disease: 2012-2013 Surveillance and Management Report Paul Shelton and Patrick McDonald Forest Wildlife Program, Illinois Department of Natural Resources August 30, 2013 Figure 8. Trends in CWD prevalence for hunter‐ harvested adult deer (≥ yearling) during 2003‐2013 for the twelve counties in which CWD has been identified. Error bars at each point depict the 95% confidence interval of the estimate. Mean prevalence rates in males have been 60% higher than in females throughout the 11‐year period. Seems like a trend here.or is it your theory that every states research findings are full of holes? Man you would think this QDMA group would be doing something to help the stop of this deadly disease. But no they seem to support it with their thoughts on male deer harvest's.

CWD: A 10-Year Retrospective Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) was first discovered in Wisconsin in February 2002. Much has changed in the last 10 years. The articles below provide a retrospective on those changes. Disease Progression and Spread The Wisconsin DNR began active surveillance for CWD in 1999 following increased awareness of interstate transport of elk from CWD-infected western game farms. In February 2002, the DNR was notified that three deer harvested the previous fall from Deer Management Unit 70A in western Dane County had tested positive for CWD. This discovery launched an intensive surveillance effort in Wisconsin that continues today. As of February 2012, nearly 172,000 wild white-tailed deer have been sampled, over 1,800 of which have tested CWD-positive. There appear to be two main areas of CWD infection in Wisconsin. One is centered in western Dane and eastern Iowa counties. The second is located in northern Illinois and extends into southeastern Wisconsin. Illinois first detected the presence of CWD in this area in the fall of 2002 and as of April 2011, 336 CWD-positive deer have been found. Surveillance has been continuously conducted since 2002 in the southern portions of the state and routinely on a rotating basis throughout the rest of the state. Sampling intensity across the majority of the state has been sufficient enough to have a high degree of confidence that CWD would be detected if the disease existed at 1% prevalence during the time of surveillance. CWD has been found in 12 southern Wisconsin counties and the current CWD Management Zone encompasses all known locations of free-ranging deer that tested positive for CWD. Sex and Age Composition of Infected Deer Analysis of the sex and age composition of positive deer over the past ten years in Wisconsin has shown that: disease prevalence is higher in older deer than in younger deer, and prevalence in males is approximately twice as high as in females. Overall, there has been an increasing trend in prevalence in all sex and age classes in the western and eastern Wisconsin core monitoring areas. Since 2002, prevalence in the western core has increased among: adult males from about 8% to nearly 18%, adult females from about 3% to approximately 7%, yearling males from about 2% to about 6%, and yearling females from 2% to about 5%. Prevalence increases are also evident in the eastern core where prevalence in adult males has increased from 2% to 6% between 2003-2011 Looks like the DNR says the same fact.

Sometimes the facts are a hard thin to swallow huh? You want to think farming you go right ahead. While you are doing that. others that dont feel the same as you..Oh God Forbid. will sit back and watch history repeat itself. Just think, if all sportsmen would have stuck together instead of drawing that line, things may be a tad bit different. huh? Enjoy your experience. Oh and i have my weapons at my disposal, i still plink with the kids with our 22's and i still just had a blast shooting/hunting the million of Snow Geese on my farm last week with our shotgun's.. Hmmm?
-
Yes sir. Just ask any QDMA member that reads and lives by the tales and blogs of one Terry Singleterry. Same study, same facts and taken as holy grail on that site. Now even the CWD preacher is questioning the thoughts and actions of the QDMA on promoting the spread of CWD across the country! It will continue!

I believe the backing of many sportsmen of other sportsmen ended years ago when the line was drawn in the sand. Those on one side of the line has fought their fight and are still standing. We will see if the other side has such good fortune!

Yeah ok..You keep believing the looks have nothing to do with it and i will keep watching them yank them out of your hand. I love it that others are up in arms over your rights being stepped on. Some have been stepped on for years. Enjoy your turn. Funny i have seen no banning of normal looking hunting equipment. Be easy on your words about...If it does not fit your look or you are not into it! You and many others have had the ignorance to take that stance for years. I think its funny that you now get your turn. I will take my chances with my future of hunting. I think i am in pretty good shape either way thanks!

LOL...Im not sure if that is possible but give it time. I mean i have only had deer for 15 years, clearly not enough time for a deer to contact it. Im thinking in a couple years it will be around for us all to enjoy. Well that is if they test for it. Ny does not like to lose money and if CWD shows back up for good they know tag sales will fall big time. They will not look for it any time soon! Maybe!
