  1. Party is over for this year. Everything sold has been delivered, smaller bucks cut. Everyone in their breeding pens and all fawns separated. Now there is nothing left to do but hunt every day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Sign me up. Can't get over the hump but can't remember how many 299's and 98's. Fun times for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. You probably won't have much of an issue with him any longer. All this pushing and shoving will turn him/them into night hunters. If game is heavy there they will do whatever it takes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. 1st day of Bow till last day of late Muzzy season. Let the games begin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. How many acres? If not a bunch you are not really doing any management per say. Just killing a couple does out of the big picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That's true but not really needed. To dump that kind of cash into cameras$$. We get down there every 6 weeks or so Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah I won't get that deep. I don't really like to use them to scout per say. I don't check them very often. If you pay attention to some of the guys pic's you can see the deer know something is there and smell human scent I'm sure. Mature bucks won't put up with that long. I just want to see if one shows up worth putting the effort into hunting him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yup. 14 on the 900 acres here and 6 on the 125 that is about 200 miles away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Brain stem and Lymph Nodes are the places they find the Prions for CWD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Lol. Yeah I guess that would be true. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I am kinda in the same boat. I still get a rise when I finally get eyes on a buck I am after..i.e..Hunting' but really I get more of a rise when like someone else said and an animal is coming in from behind and you can't see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. After living with them along with hunting them for 25-30 years the rush has mellowed big time. After one harvests many, many animals they will change. For me now to get any rush it takes a mature deer for sure but more so it takes a mature deer I have located, scouted and killed on his turf. Harvesting any deer is not much of an accomplishment anymore but to harvest the biggest, smartest brute in the woods still gets the blood pumping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Yeah. Pretty good it's such a bad disease yet the deer has to be killed by other means to find out if it has the crap? Harmless to beast or human. Same Prion as Scrapies in sheep and the store freezers have been packed with that for as long as hunters have been eating positive deer. Get on forums in positive states and see how many have never had their deer tested. 50-60 years of being harmless pretty much sums it up for most. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Typical. Picture of a deer at water with EHD trying to be passed off as CWD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. In this closed border state the Red Stags may soon be as hard to find as a Zebra. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Not sure why you would think I have a biased opinion as it does not effect me? My opinion is again just the pure facts. You see that's one of the biggest problems in today's world, They only want you to read what they want you to know. 3/4 of the crap you read about CWD is just that...Unproven Crap. 18. Yes this Ny case could be as simple as an Antler Infection. Bucks cut their velvet and flies lay eggs. Maggots invade the velvet and feast on the blood as they push Infection thru the bucks body. Will be interesting if it does come back positive but it's highly doubtful. 19. You mean the bout that the so called specialist said they had to kill every walking breathing Whitetail in the state to stop the spread? Or the millions of dollars and 1000's of animals wiped out for nothing? Or maybe the fact that they said it would decimate the herd yet a couple years after killing 1000's the herd repopulated itself to now have more animals then ever before yet still have a 40% positive herd? How could a herd grow 100's of 1000's of deer WITH the disease that they said would wipe them out? Maybe some should not believe everything they read and start living and watching what's going on in the real world! The state of Wisconsin no longer even tests for CWD per say! 20. Sucks? Can't think of a better animal to spend my day with or a better life then it offers. Retire from the real working world at 40 with no worries and 365 days a year freedom to do whatever is pretty sweet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Well that place kinda goes along with all the other Indian ran operations. They do well late in the season after most other ranches are sold out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. You will never find a true number. I know of 4 new ones that started this year. Four of my top buyers are rich guys down near the city that do not even promote hunts. They are like a rich guys golf club that have 2000 acres fenced and do their own things. Shoot a few 200 inch bucks every year and never have to worry about state laws or tags or anything else for that matter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Do tell the great points made? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Well the disease comment I'm sure would be pointed towards CWD and seeing though I am 15 years tested, Double fenced and a 7 years closed herd I would guess I am pretty safe unless it flies in. Most farm cases can be traced back to it most likely getting speed into the farm from the wild which explains the many states that have piles of it in the wilds and never a farm case. To answer your good question that actually holds merit yes we can sell to any state but Texas and Alabama because Ny is considered a CWD free state because the cases are over 10 years old. We can't bring deer in from any state which is the reason why most like me can't raise enough to supply the demand that Ny ranches have to supply their high fence customers. I have to sell mine as yearlings or 2yr olds when they are 130-200 inch animals as the demand -Checkbooks- are not there for most Ny hunters to afford. 200-300in bucks go to bigger ranches in other states.
