Meat muzzy, it is a wild game innovations ir8x. It does make noise when it records. The video before this one is a doe, she looks at the camera then bolts. I am trying tomorrow night again hopefully he shows up.
I have never tried to hunt turkeys in the fall, but I did get this one with my bow in the spring. I was hunting out of a blind with my decoys set up about 6 yrds. He came strutting in and jumped on top of my decoy bending the metal rod. I shot him at about 10 yrds. DRT.
No luck here either. Called in a hen at about 6:30 am but she was all alone. She hung out in the field for about 10 minutes clucking her head off then just left. I do have the whole week off so I will keeep trying.
Here is my first turkey with a bow, taking in Onondaga County and the last is my son's first turkey, he took that one in Oswego County in his first 3 hours of hunting ever. I kinda spoiled him on that one.
Thank you for your comments. I am fairly new to duck hunting ( 3 seasons now). It was a very small area but it just wasn't worth it to get into it with these guys over some ducks. I have other spots to go.
Got a question for all waterfowl hunters out there. If you go onto public land to a spot and other hunters are already there and have their decoys set up, would you still stay and take passing shots at the ducks that are working into their decoy spread? That just happened to me and my buddy this morning...UNREAL!! They set up 20 yrds from us!!!
