    • Interesting sit  for me tonight. I had 4 doe cruise by at 3:30, then a little later two spike bucks came and hung out for a while by me. One of 'em only had one horn, but he was twice as fat as his 2 horned friend. Honestly, I was flabbergasted at the size of this feller. I seriously considered shooting him if I got the chance. His horn to body size ratio was totally whack. Anyway, only his skinny friend got close enough, so they both survived their minutes of proximity.  Definitely seeing more deer movement when the pressure is dropping. Been keeping an eye on that.

  1. This guy got a pass last night for the 2nd time this season. He came in with 6 doe and did some chasing. Had him at under 20 yards. Saw him way back at the beginning and he has been on cam every once in a while since then. His Daddy is still running around however, as of two days ago according to cam pics. So, I am waiting for the bigger deer. I have a feeling about this evening's sit. Let's see what happens

The deer will below will be a fine beast if he makes through to next year. Fingers crossed for him.

. But the root cause of this particular uprising is the fuel taxes being levied against the working class citizens in an attempt to control their fuel usage, and therefore their contribution to  "climate change".

Apparently this is media spin and not quite correct. People on the ground there are saying this is a predominantly anti-EU ,anti globalist issue at its heart and the tax narrative is being pushed front and center to reduce the size and scope of the issue in terms of public consumption in other EU nations so as to try and contain the matter as being a local and smaller concern. They are terrified of mass revolt.

  3. You  cannot love what you do not know. The West stands no chance if people are unaware of the great people, thoughts and events that forged our civilization. I no longer watch TV in a bid to better come to grips with these events and thoughts, in book form by and large. Youtube also has good resources.

I would begin with Plato, Aristotle and Aquinas, the 3 great thinkers that did the most to forge Western sensibilities. And of course the New Testament, followed by the History of Europe, and then the Americas. There are excellent philosophical primers out there that take the pain out of this subject. And as with any skill one wants to develop, repetition and practice is the key. Developing understanding and learning to think is indeed a skill most people have lost. Much in part to do with the degraded training they call 'education' today. All by design. 'They' need to remake man in their own image and the tabula rasa, the 'blank slate', is the necessary starting point.

It's the EU, not the taxes

The Yellow Vest protests are aimed at Macron's pro-EU administration, not just its fuel tax policy:

    Quote

The fiery Yellow Vest protests that rage on across France have more to do with the “incompetent,” EU-dependent government policy than the rising gas prices, a French political commentator told RT. While many protesters vent their anger at President Emmanuel Macron, who took an unpopular decision to raise taxes and increase prices on fuel and other commodities, “they don’t realize the problem is much deeper and has to do with the general policy of the European Union.”

‘Most cops support Yellow Vest protesters over Macron’ – France police union chief to RT

“The revolt is not just about the gas prices, it’s a general revolt against the policy of the government,” Jean Bricmont, a French writer and political commentator, told RT. There’s not much that French authorities could do to relieve people’s worries and defuse tensions, he said, as Paris “has to obey the orders from the European Commission.”

On the back of violent rallies, President Emmanuel Macron said he will not back down on his controversial economic policy. “We won't change course. We are certain of that,” government spokesman Benjamin Griveaux has said, hinting that Paris was considering a state of emergency over the protests.

“I think [Macron] doesn’t realize the depth of the crisis … there’s not much he can do about it,” Bricmont speculated. “He’s not a statesman, he’s a banker, he’s been put in that position and thinks that he has solution to everything in his head. I think he’s extremely arrogant, extremely self-centered, extremely detached from reality.”

In the meantime, officials around Macron are “incompetent,” Bricmont added, “I’m really scared for France.”
