Only when I don't have the bow
20ftupatree replied to 20ftupatree's topic in Hunting Related Pictures
my drywall partners idea was a pneumatic air gun!! -
I just watched the video, the camera mounted on the bow doesn't do much for me, good before and after but there is A LOT of movement during the shot you don't actually see the hit and I could imagine even immediately after would be tough because like fasteddie says it's hard to tell where you are actually pointing the cam. On the other hand the glasses obviously would see what you see, I'm just curious of quality, I guess I compare the picture too something like a camera phone.

I can only pray you're right crappie!

I just replaced the bow only bow I've had EVER this year with a "new" old bow. I have a Bear whitetail hunter, that bow is well over 5o inches long, OLD though. This year I got a hand me down pearson renegade II

I don't know all I do know is the trees that were marked with a piece of survey tape were roughly 8-10 inches, I didn't actually "see" all 30 tress or whatever but the ones I did see (10 or so) were that size idk. But anyways it's under way, they started building the landing saturday.

I'm not really sure if those were just markers of some sort or what but the trees ribboned were only that size. I do the harvest is going to Canada which from what I understand is where ALL our hardwood (oak anyways) goes.

I am in Whitehall, it's about an hour north of Saratoga. It actually on the back side of Lake George.

There could probably be a wired button on the back side of the grip so you could just hit it with your thumb. Mine is pretty voice activated......Honey grab me a beer please. POOF let there be beer.

AND now it's pouring .......literally raining cats and dogs outside. You can't make this stuff up. ny.....you're right! Last year opening morning, I checked all my gear the night before..READY to go! I get out of my truck grabbed my bow and pack and started heading into the woods. As I get a few yards in I nock an arrow and it hits my hand!? I look down and my rest is broken clean off! BROKEN OFF! could not believe it. I never use to carry my bow in a case, I DO however store it off season in a case, but in my truck during hunting season it's not, why I don't really know. Long story short I had to wait for my bow shop to open buy another rest and spend the rest of morning fiddling with that. Got in the woods around 1 PM if I recall. Doe I am in Whitehall, No biggie but I do appreciate the offer sincerely, I have a bow shop 5 minutes away it's just crazy how s#!t happens!

Ya know that doesn't sound like a bad idea......Never thought of it but it definately could work. I unfortunately didn't spend the money for the video I just have a plain ol snap shot cam, maybe Santa will bring me one, and my range finder ...............(and that new Mathews I've always wanted) or just one of any would be nice lol I've been a good boy this year!

OOOOOOh ya great day now for WHATEVER reason....my quiver won't hold my new arrows anymore! I bought new ones for the new season because the fletchings on my others were shot so i switched to a "better" arrow (so says my bow shop) they are nice no complaints of the arrow. I have been using these for the last week or better in the same quiver I had NOW it's like the part that holds the shaft is worn enough or something every time I fire the bow it spits one out!

iT'S ALL PLASTIC MOUNT HOUSING AND PINS!!! Sorry bout caps lock. anyways I've NEVER seen a daintier piece of junk than this cobra sight! I know I know I know I shouldn't have done this season is already underway for me here in the NZ my bow was dead nuts and I've wanted to put a fiber sight on it but never wanted spend the money, saw this one and like I said usually it's 2-3 arrows make an adjustment 2-3 more adjust and it's money. I only use 2 pins anyways so I figured ahhhhh 10-12 arrows I'm all done, I'm gonna put the metal pins back on now.
-
I did the stupidest thing I can friggen think of!!!! I went to my local shop yesterday and I found a cobra sight on clearance $10.00 WHAT A FIND!!!! so I bought it. It was in original package untampered, put it on my bow and went to sight it in .................i'm on the target but every adjustment I make seems to go different. My pin sights I had took me 2 shots per pin to sight in and I was on my mark. I can't get this one with in 5 inches of the bullseye. what the F is going on?

i LIKE THAT IDEA!!! I think you may be on to something!

I don't know they seemed quality, my only concern was how the video quality was. Will I be able to watch the vid and actually see the deer I shoot 20-30 yrds away or is it a big fuzzy picture? I mean the glasses themselves looked good camo blah blah blah but it's the distance ability and quality of picture. I watch these shows with the bow cam, rifle cam etc. and these guys/girls kill me with the amount of time spent adjusting the cam looking in thier scope back to adjusting the cam back to the scope.................SHOOT THE EFIN THING ALREADY!! I don't know how they get the time to go through all that I'm so busy calming my nerves concentrating on a good shot that I couldn't possibly think about whether the damn thing was in camera view.

what your location? I have a good outfit here but thats here.

Just a question not that I really care but jeez how many posts do you have to make to get off newbie?

I have a complete bust since the 27th. I have seen A LOT of sign, and usually my stands produce SOMETHING, but not this year. I do feel something different this season not sure what can't put my finger on it but I have noticed that even fields that usually are loaded with deer don't seem to be AS active. Maybe it's me but I haven't lucky so far. I know in my area the corn has been cut extra early this year why I'm not sure. In my SZ there is a field of corn that usually stands till october this year it was cut before the 27th of september when NZ opened...found this strange.

looking out a window of a house I'm drywalling......no bow! >

I just got a new (well different) bow for this season just two days ago. I finally got tru glo sights on it and QAD rest so I only shot it yesterday. Over the summer I fell from a ladder only 6 ft but landed on my right shoulder and did hurt it. it hurt for weeks, now last night shooting it's killing me again and I only pulled it back 5 times and im done, so i just had my poundage rduced to less than 60 because I just can't do it
