I work in the lodge at Dick's Sporting Goods and we don't even sell the 3 blade because for all intents and purposes they are illegal. Like Doc said, it all depends on the CO's mood at the time. You're better off with the 2 blade, they're more reliable and durable anyway.

If a Tom with hens is hanging up for me I usually put up a hen decoy the next day and gobble. He thinks you stole away one of his girls and comes looking for a fight. My Remington 870 gives him a fight he can't win though ; ) Old timer taught me this one a few years ago and it hasn't failed me since.

I live in Colonie NY outside of Albany. Just moved here from Buffalo a few weeks back. I'm planning on hunting the Pine Bush this fall in bow season and I'm not sure about gun season just yet. Fishing is pretty restricted here to people without boats so I'll let you know when I actually get out to do some fishing. -
There is a series of good videos for butchering deer on youtube by a poster named williescountrymeats, or something to that effect. His videos were how I learned.

Does anyone know of any public land to hunt with a rifle within an hour of Albany? I just moved here and I have no idea where I can hunt in gun season. I've got bow season planned for Pine Bush but nothing lined up past that. Any help is much appreciated.

You hunt Pine Bush? Do you mean Pine Bush in Albany NY, because I just moved to within 5 minutes of there a few weeks ago from Buffalo. I'm planning on hunting Pine Bush this fall and I've been looking for some tips. (Don't worry, I'll try not to tag all the monsters before you get a chance)
