If you take care of your venison and turn those hq roasts into steaks, they are fantastic.  As good as Backstrom.

I used to get the roasts cubed but now i take them to costanzas to get made into slim sticks or the likes.

That gets back to my point though. Venison, like beef, simply needs salt & pepper. If you’re using butter and cheese, you might as well use A1 or ketchup too!

Venison is clean and lean. Don’t turn it into a fast food Big Mac

butter is the cooking vessel or would a splash of olive oil be better in your book? I don't put A1 or ketchup on anything. But it's definately getting cheese

I got my first buck with me bow, have been bow hunting for about 8 years and have only been able to get shots at doe's. He was about 15 yards when I took the shot, I hit a little higher than I would have liked but he still went down. He ran about 50-60 yards before going down. Thankfully I heard him go down as there was not blood trail, a nice big exit hole but no blood until the spot he went down. I have to go out and look for the arrow a little more I wasn't able to find it at the time. The picture isn't the greatest, it was getting dark and I wanted to get him dressed and hung as soon as possible. He's a 9 point, it didn't look like anything was broken off, just didn't grow the same on both sides.cc2cb2880205936a2eed9919c8401060.jpg

I’d love to see a show of hands of guys (or gals of course) that have had a sighting of a coyote while walking that was within bow range but just didn’t have an arrow nocked.    I’ll hang up and wait.

me opening day this year.Red lens on headlamp, actually i think I had the green lens on to see better on bridge,  closest was 18-19 yards while i was crossing a small suspension bridge. Both froze up for I bet 80-90seconds trying to figure out what the heck i was or going on. Nocked an arrow and full draw for awhile but could'nt see my pins at all. Was a little eerie to have them that close with only a stick and string. If it was regular gun season I would have probably killed my first and second ever coyote.

  6. nest raiders, cold and wet springs, coyotes and fishers killing adult birds. Upon talking to a customer other day who has conducted studies in the declining turkey population said raptors are the biggest reason.

  7. So sat up along upper small field tall 8 was other night when I was down below in a small funnel. Well just before legal light expired I see him at 80 yards across small field cruising the woods 10 yards in. Cousin down below a ways and said he saw buck walk under the stand I was in last time lol.  One of the times I’ll guess right. Dinky fawn headed in and had 2 feeding at 15 yards for a long time.
