  1. You cannot help yourself, apparently. You are so full of yourself that you believe you can speak for me....such arrogance. Seek help.
  2. I am fine with that. I made a flippant comment and the pro crossbow freaks pounced on it. I have no problem with allowing the disabled access to crossbows. It is the lazy physically able that piss me off.
  3. It is the advantages of a crossbow that enables them to be out hunting. That is a good thing. But we need not extend those advantages to those who do not need them....they can get off their butt and bowhunt anytime they wish to. For some reason...they choose not to. That is their problem.....not mine.
  4. See? Thats just crap. > If it so easy, then we need give noone the extra advantage. ADMIT the extra advantage....and lets work together to give it to those who need it. Screw those who don't, and are just too lazy to do what it takes to become a bowhunter.
  5. Awesome. Let's allow the disabled some extra advantage to get them in the game. But let's agree that it IS an extra advantage....and stop with this ridiculous BS that a crossbow is no different than a compound.
  6. You shoot them exactly like you would shoot a gun....not at all like you would shoot a bow. Maybe that's why they are allowed in gun season. ;D
  7. Answer me this, crossbow guys. If compounds are so easy, why won't "new" hunters that would come in with crossbows willing to try them? Your rhetoric does not ring true. :
  8. You are simply wrong. I want more bowhunters in archery season.....but I want them to be BOW hunters.
  9. You have no business speaking for me....I am perfectly capable of doing so myself.
  10. you might wanna change yer name from "arrow flinger" to "Turd Slinger". ??? Not necessary. Can you not carry on a civilzed discussion? >
  11. Calling me a "liar" is a blatant personal attack. Settle down, Sally. >
  12. So here's the post: There is no specific mention of limiting the weapons upgrade to a crossbow. Most would consider MZ to be more efficient than crossbows, and rifles more efficient than MZ. The extension of your logic would be rifles in bowseason.....after all "Wouldnt you rather have them go out into the woods with a weapon they have a better chance of making a clean, efficient kill with?" I'm gonna place my bet on no. And why wouldn't you consider the case of MZ? I know why....it is damning to many of the pro crossbow talking points and is a CLEAR precedent for excluding a class of weapons even though they share the same method of propulsion. Talk about twiiting things around. > BTW - check out NABC. They have a list of bowhunting associations that are oppsed to crossbow inclusion. Its probably like.......oh, I don't know....99% of the bowhunting organizations. :
  13. No. I have extended it. Even if we accept your premise that you were staying " within the lines of archery equipment," (something that was clearly left unstated,) we can still extend your logic to firearms and end up at the same place, that rifles would replace MZ because they are "a weapon they have a better chance of making a clean, efficient kill with?" You must be able to see the parallels to rifles in MZ and crossbows in bowseason....when we extend your reasoning. You still FAIL. Your question is irrelevant, and has nothing to do with whether crossbows should be legalized or not. ROFLMAO 99%, huh? There goes your credibility.
  14. More failed logic. If we extend your reasoning, we would all need to go out into the woods with ...... a gun. Crossbows do not belong in bow season.
  15. Advocating for the banning of compounds, already universally legal, because they are too easy.......then advocating for crossbows (which are easier still, and ILLEGAL in most places) makes no sense whatsoever. You Fail.
  16. ROFLMAO. So the physically able twenty something who is too lazy to get off his butt and learn to hunt with a bow is a victim? How precious. Crossbows for the physically capable are freaking ridiculous. I am delighted that they are illegal.
  17. I don't need to extend it, silly. Compounds are legal in all 50 states.....anyone who wants to bowhunt can already use one.
  18. So far I have been called pathetic, evasive, and elitist. No wonder I don't like crossbow hunters.: LOL: I have no problem providing an exception to the rules for those who need it. For those who NEED it.
  19. Is everyone here as rude as you two pro-crossbow guys? You didn't ask me if or why I was "deadset" against crossbows. You asked a myriad of inapplicable questions that have nothing to do with crossbows. Crossbows have always been illegal in NY, and considered inappropriate for bow season. Now they are allowed for gun season....but it is crystal clear that they have been intentionally kept as distinct and different than vertical bows. As well they should.
  20. Not sure what any of this has to do with the discussion.
  21. My bad. I just assumed that someone who would get so antagonistic about it so quickly must have some sort of vested interest. You sell them, maybe?
  22. Sorry it upset you. So how long have you had a physical disability that has kept you from bowhunting?
  23. I imagine most guys with shoulder issues should be able to use the drawlock on a compound bow. Its legal now. They don't need crossbows.
  24. I had a nice long reply written out explaining why this statement is a bunch of nonsense, but I decided not to bother this time. You believe that there are many who need one? I don't think so. But I have no problem allwing them for those who are physically challenge. Go for it.
  25. That's my experience, too. A Big 7 kicks about like a .30-06. There are lots of calibers that kick harder, that's for sure.
