6a had a doe come in and about a min behind her a buck 8 pointer came in grunting. He didn't leave. my first ever deer in ny! Id say the rut is on id be out there boys!

Buck down here in 6a came in right behind a doe sitting here waiting for my uncle to help drag him out!

Went and.looked at some land today here in 6a. Found 9 scrapes saw 2 deer. The scrapes all look old just like the scrapes on the state land here. In my stand now for the night nothings been thru the last 2 days according to the camera.

Hunting in 6a first morning of a week long vacation. Sitting on a island surrounded by swamp. Tryin to get my first ny buck ever.first year ever hunting ny.

It looks like its say nov 1st to the 14th. Im just not positive on the ny laws being from vermont. I just want to make sure im not reading it wrong

Me and my uncle are on vacation the first 2 weeks of November. We are hunting saint lawrence county rifle season in the northern zone but are thinking about hunting a day in madison county with bow. I shoot a regular coumpound bow but my uncle shoots a crossbow due to a bad shoulder from work. My question is can he use that crossbow during that time in madison?

I prefer my summit climber. It is very comfy I can back pack it in and hunt diffrent spots very quickly. Being from vt and this being my first time hunting ny state land its nice to be able to move stand locations without alot of hassle.

Its deffinetly all about getting neighbors together and not shooting the younger deer I agree 100%.as far as st lawrence county and madison county would you say madison has alot more potential for bigger deer?

Hey everybody first post on the site. Read alot of stuff on here though. Im new to hunting New York. I am hunting st lawrence county right now. but looking at some land in madison county. What can you guys tell me about the area as far as deer size and amount of deer in the are. Looking at the north east side of madison. Thanks for any help and input you can give me.
