    I hunt 3m Orange County and noticed way less shots this year than prior years on opening day. This past Saturday I heard a few more shots throughout the day. No deer seen on full day sit. I have been seeing them on the way out of the property. No safe shot. I think they have me patterned!!!

    Quiet Opener

    It was quieter in 3m than prior years. 3 does were bedded near my parking spot. They blew out of there. No deer sighted for the am hunt besides those. Way fewer shots heard than usual. Not many shots between 9am and 1pm.

    1st buck with a bow 3m. Saw 3 does early but too far out. About an hour later, there were 2 - 4 pointers making a ton of noise behind me. I used a grunt call and both came towards my stand. I used a new scent I saw on these forums and hung them in good shooting lanes. One of the 4 pointers took the lead and headed right toward the scent . 15 yd shot, and was down in 20. Love it when a plan comes together.
