I picked up the cheap Center Point 3x9for my 22. Now I just paid 70$ for a Center Point Shotgun scope. I guess I need a little more range time to be sure If it was worth the 70. $ It included every thing to mount in up to the rail on my Mossburg 500. I hated the 2.5x power scope dicks special combo scope that came with the Mossburg so I now have the Center Point 2x7 power. I was low budget and I know you normally get what you pay for . we will see. Seems like everyone is selling these now, anyone else have experience with the Center Point scopes?

Well I took the last 10 days of bow season to chase that big 9 /10 point that I pass on shooting Beginning of November. I was so very sick nearly my whole vacation and only made it out The last 2.5 days of hunting bow. I passed several bucks and already filled my doe tag when this Buck offered up a 24 yard quartering away shot on my last day last hunt. The Rage dropped my 5th deer 4th buck in a row with in 50 yards . He is small, but I love venison too much to leave an empty tag in my inventory. I do try to hold out for the big boys, I resorted to the" IF its brown Its down" guideline on the last day of the season. My 13 year old did his first field dress on this buck. Next year is going to be a great year for this father and son team. out rage entrance

welcome to the club, Nice Job! any clean bow kill is a shot to be proud of.

I think you did what I would have done. Thank you! I would have tried to determined if the wound would have been fatal in a reasonable amount of time. But lets face it, there is a line. Example was last year./ I double lung shot an 8 point last year that had been shot the same season. not sure how long before me either. there was a cut from a broad head blade from someone else that cut the bucks on his back. It was evident only one blade of the head broke through the skin like a shave that got a little to close. For me fortunately, It was easy to prove it was a mere flesh wound . there there is no way that deer was someone else s to claim. Buy It did get me thinking about the whole situation of who should claim the deer. You did the right thing IMOP

Who is on stand today?. This is killing me stuck at work pulling my 12.5 hr work shift ,and its my long 4 day work week. My last hunt on Saturday eve brought a big 9 point to with in 18 yd with no shot. I cant get back out till Thursday Morning. I will give it a go with my IP4 when I hit the stand. then I can read this post and reflect back as to how much better a day on stand is to a good day at work. Good luck fellas?

Thank you fellas!!!!. With a passion for hunting like I have had for so many years it is hard to believe that it took me so long to join a hunting forum. I keep this up and My 4x4 and Jeep forum buddy's are going to wonder had happened to me.. Here is my other Hobby or Hobie It has transported many deer in it and on it.

Relax! stick around, this forum seems to have way fewer A- holes them Most of my other Hobby associated forums. Not everyone is going to like you, nor will you like everyone else but For the most part you are here because you love to hunt and it feels good to flock to people that share that same passion. Just don't waist any sleep if you cant please everyone. Please Don't act like that 9 pointer did to me yesterday. come around for a brief glimpse, stick your nose up in the air then just walk away. Come back! don't make me call you either. J/k

^^^^^^ Congrats. . I like when I see people sealing the deal Old School Bow style.

Last night 45min before sunset I had a Beautiful 9 point sneak up from behind me and to my left. I had an open 35 yard shot but I was going to do every thing I could to seal the deal so I waited for him to present a better shot in my Very High confidence zone. He closed to about 18 yards two times and I came to full draw twice with no good shot options, each time he did an about face , I think because the wind was all wrong. After hanging around for about 5 min with is nose in the air He beat feet out of range. Tried to call him back to no avail. ten min later 4 doe popped out to my right, If he had seen them he would have been hanging in my garage right now. It was a good day on stand, But it could have been great! I can tell the deer are moving now and come Thursday I will have 10 days off work to seal the deal with that bad boy, if someone does not do it with there car first.

I am new here, but I will play. Last years 8: The first day I saw this guy during bow last year, I had to let him walk because I was not comfortable with the shot. However, my patients payed off the nex day when he walked 7yards down range of my Rage broad head. I have tagged a doe for this season already so I even passed up a 4 point in the same spot this year in hopes that I will be blessed with an even bigger deer this Rut. Good luck! the Rut , its practically here

Whats up fellas. I am new here and to Hunting forums in general. I Big into My Jeep forums but never thought o join the other Passion, Hunting. I have been hunting for since @13 yr old , So that is about 28 deer seasons. Wow I am getting old. Started my first year in Year in California hunting Jack rabbits and Mule deer. However, I spent the rest my life Hunting between New Jersey and New York. I have been a bow hunter for around 20 yrs and pride my self at being a successful bow hunter; Meaning, That over the years I have learned how to consistently fill my tags with a bow and not have it all done based on Luck. I am good at find them and get them close enough to keep my shots on average 20 yards or less. I Am also a single Father and I am proud to say that my oldest boy is active duty US Navy service member as I was and my Youngest Son has just begun his first year as a hunter with his fir st gun kill under his belt while out Pheasant hunting 3 weeks ago. His real interest is deer hunting and He is awesome with the bow as well. Aside from My Son and Hunting, I spend many hours in the woods Camping Mountain bike riding and Mainly 4 wheeling my 1998 5.9 liter , Lifted and Locked Jeep Grand Cherokee. I love the outdoors What I hope to gain from this forum is to increase and share my Hunting knowledge, as well as maybe even find a few more hunting buddy's . Good Luck this Season fellas!
