  1. Let me rephrase that. We all couldn’t fit in a selfie to be honest...and inwas in no mood anyay for pics
  2. Ahh thanks Biz! I did think about you guy s tonight while out, and about here.
  3. Looks like you all had a nice time!
  4. So, we met up with Jenn’s friend, and the friend’s new boyfriend. The friend moved down here in April, and we both had neber met her boyfriend until tonight. He was SUCH a d-bag. A vaping, red dodge dart driving judgemental guy who ONLY talked about himself, and what he does, and kept pulling his damn phone out to show us pics of random BS. What a waste of my time. Even Jenn was like WTF. anyways, enough of that! We did eat at Stubb’s BBQ. I had 14 hr brisket, home style sausage, and pulled pork, with sides that included mac-n-cheese, and hand cut fries. It was good, I wasn’t blown away though. It was a nice meal though. about half way through dinner I had already had enough of this guy, and could no longer pretend I could tolerate his arrogance, and “oh wow’d” him to death. About 2.5 hrs later we finally left. Thankfully, and unfortunately, they had picked us up from our hotel, so we were stuck with them at this point. Well Jenn, and the girl are pretty good friends, so the girls wanted to go out for a drink, I was devastated lol. So here we all go to 6th street. Cops literally block off, and shut vehicle traffic down on a few blocks or so of 6th, for all the bars. Jenn, and I are NOT bar people, but when away sometimes 1 or 2 drinks in a classy place with an older crowd is a nice time. Sooo, we walked up and doen the strip, and ended up in Coyote Ugly”. They had chicks in cut up sports bras, tight tanks, and short jean shorts dancing on top of the bar. Some giros had bras on, underwear bottoms. On the streets a few women were walking around in lingerie.
  5. Going to Stubb’s BBQ at 6pm. Apparently it’s the same as the sauce you can buy in stores
  6. Done for the day. They did indeed rent me a mini excavator. It was cool to be able to be ME. In shoots of my past, it was BS picking up cups, or tissues, or a bottle of water. This shoot was actually of the activities I do in real life for work. Video was taken of me grabbing the handle on the cage of the cab, and pulling myself up, and in with only the prosthesis, then disengaging the safety column to start operating the machine. Video was taken of me pretending to dig, but I was actually usingvthe machine a if I was actually digging trenches, i made the machine actually move in the motions, not just with the controls. They wanted me to just rotate side to side, so I did....then in between sets, I at one point said screw it, and did my own thing with it. You could see it in their faces the disbelief of how I was making this machine move so gently, and rest the bucket back down on the blacktop, and then move over and move the bucket level just hovered off the ground to, and from the cab. We did some hicking videos, so talking videos, weedwhacking videos, and pics holding pliers, and ratchets. Oh, and a video walking up to the excavator with a mini toolbox in the prosthetic hand, setting it down on the cabs floor. we then went to a nice Mexican restaurant with the woman who gave me this opportunity. She took us to her favorite place, and then showed us the area a little where she grew up, and pointed out a few cool icons, and must know cool facts. it was nice.
  7. This is a long long way outside of my comfort zone, but as you said it’s all in an effort to change how prosthetic’s are viewed, etc to help others. Thanks you two, glad you enjoy the posts. off to another shoot this morning a little north of here.
  8. They comped a few drinks, no biggy just glad no one was cut up honestly. I am not paying for it anyway on the trip.
  9. Oh wow, that makes perfect sense! Never thought that, thanks for commenting.
  10. The hotel I posted earlier with the fancy pillars etc, and interview room was said to be the oldest hotel in Austin, or first one, cant remember. Supposed to be haunted, which is very cool. Pics below are of Austin skyline on the state capital highway I believe it’s called. The other pic is of our room view. 7am we get picked up for more photoshoots hoping to post a lot more detailed pics as soon as I get a go ahead.
  11. No, all kidding aside, she sucked it up in the straw, and it did not dissolve on her tongue. She used her finger to pick it off her tongue, and it was thin, and never melted. 5 mins later waiter came over, and we showed him, and quietly explained it to him. We just didnt want to not say anything, and god forbid someone got hurt. They emptied the ice machines just incase.
  12. Jenn’s margarita had a little piece of glass in it. They weren’t kidding when they said Blood Orange Margarita.
  13. Very much is, great blend of sharing my story, and helping along with the after hours as a mini vacation. Quite an experience.
  14. Went very well, very nerve racking during videography. They said I did and awesome job, and were extremely pleased. They made me look like Mr. Furly from Tree’s Company, but thr photographer said all the women are complimenting you over here. It was a good time, and very appreciative.
  15. That is my smile haha, Jenn posts pics all the time, and the joke is I am a cardboard cutout on her Instagram haha, its really funny.
  16. Thanks Chef, have a big fat burger for me. hope you guys a GREAT meetup. Looking forward to pics. I have a life size cardboard cutout of me being sent to the restaurant, set me in a corner just how I like.
  17. So tonight was a get together with the some of the team. It was at a restaurant in the hotel. We joined for happy hour, and dinner. I had chicken enchiladas, and Jenn had bone in pork. Mine was meh, hers was ok she said, not like the food last trip, but zero complaints here. Oh, and I have that Instagram, and I was recognized! A guy said I looked familiar, I thought yeah ok...sure enough he has been following me on my page! Very cool moment, and what a GREAT guy, we chit chatted for a good 45 mins. Jenn took these pics, hence sideways
