To me these things are in the same class as crossbows and muzzleloader or in between the 2 they should make it legal for late muzzleloader season .

You know the ones with the 400 plus fps can be 800 to well over $1000 don't no know how many guys will be using them at this point . You can get a compound with similar kinetic energy if you want they make 80 90 100 pound draw weight compound bows of course you néed the strength to use them

What type of broadhead did you use ? The expandables don't have as much penetration as the old fashion indian points at those distances you basically left with the kinetic energy of a 40 ib recurve

Probably your right about that well think about it your in a stand or blind most likely your not going to be shooting in perfect form in hunting situations.

If you have the money to spend the expensive airguns can do some amazing things these days there nothing like what I had as a kid back in the 70s

Kinda of off topic but I use a pcp air rifle on small game these days why ? Because I can . And ammo 22 lr is pain in the ass to find these days Plus airguns don't make much noise don't disturb the Neighbors. And the one I have is a take down version that fits in a backpack because I like to cover lots of ground when I hunt makes it easier. Plus they don't ruin as much meat there not cheep the set up I have cost around $600 they use a special pump that cost alot of money by them selfs. Im a Old guy btw not a kid for some reason I can here the wise cracks comming lol You hunt with a BB gun lol yea sometimes makes me feel like I'm. A kid again:)

Deer actually have been known to move out of the way of arrows it's called jumping the string that's why any archery instructor will tell you not to take shots farther then 40 yards really 20 to 30 until you get enough experience. Yea, in Theory you could kill a deer with crossbow or bow much farther then that but there is a good chance it will move by the time the arrow gets there alot of newbies don't think about that .

How for would you take a shot at a deer with a crossbow . This Just a poll really ,I personally would not shoot anything over 40 yards with any archery equipment

Yea I no so true found this one spot one year beautiful fields rolling hills nice trail network nobody around when i went to scout in pre season opening week line out the parking area could not even park lol

Just something to think about if you gun hunting you really don't need a stand and if your bow hunting if you are hunting private land just buy or make a, ground blind .. if your hunting public land portable blinds work good enough and lighter to carry then a stand . Besides the fact you don't have to worry about breaking your neck . That's why I don't bother with them anymore.

Yep so true besides these days I think all stands come with a free safty harnesses so why not use it . Back when I started no such thing if you wanted one you had to buy one and I don't even think they had anything but a belt at the time

I'm thinking maybe if your lucky turn yourself around facing the tree and some how slide down it if its not to big in diameter after cutting the rope anyway you look at it your going to get hurt . Black and blues at minimum

The next guy who wants to get into the tv hunting video business will now have to film a video at even farther distances to get famous. And new guys getting into archery are going to just because they think is easy no big deal to take 100 yard plus shots at deer with a bow . When really 20 30 yards is all you should be doing for the most part. And Alot of guys have trouble at that distance.

If you can't figure out why this guy is douche. You should not be bow hunting or don't no anything about archery that's all I'm going to tell you . Hunting is not golf

Yea i have used that before but the maps don't tell you if lots of people go there during deer season . Iv been to plenty of places that look empty then you go back during deer season and theRe full of hunters. You never no uless you go during the season or someone tells you if the place gets real busy during the season not a big deal if you going places close to you but it's annoying when you start driving over 100 miles away to find the place that you thought was less hunted is just as bad or worse then the places 15 minutes from your home if you no what I mean

It's tv how do we even no this guy is even a supper good shot why is he not in the Olympics if he is so good ? He is just a guy making hunting videos that figured out if he throws a arrow really far and manages to kill something once in awhile and catch it on film people will buy his videos and any other crap he is selling . His is a douche if you want to no the truth your hunting real animals it's not a game you should take lightly and do half ass shots flinging arrows hopping you get that hole in one shot on film you think this guy going to show the ones that got away with a arrow in the ass I don't think so

Yea,he is doing something right he is a good shot I'm sure and good at making hunting videos and promoting them but lots of us are good shots I can hit 100 yard target to if I set up my bow for it but the arc of the arrow would make it worthless in hunting in the woods with trees and branches around chances are something will get in the way. Besides that you have to be exactly right or your arrow is going high or low by feet plus there is a good chance the animal will move by the time the arrow gets there all things they tell you when you take a archery safty hunting course . But people will see his videos and try this anyway .

This just more bs put out by anty hunting and anty gun groups . Next they will make the excuse that all ammo them selfs are bad for the environment creates global warming and acid rain and try some crazy loop whole to ban all fire arms .

What he is doing in my opinion is promoting irresponsible archery practices that people will try and do resulting in wounding animals and giving the anty hunters something to bitch about . And anyone can edit or just take footage of the hits and not any of the misses make a video and sell it to make money and make them selfs into a super star in the process. That's this guys business is what your telling me .
