    I don't know if this is posted elsewhere , but the D.E.C. is not extending deer hunting till New Years Day this year. I was concerned what effect it would have in the areas with EHD. I was told that they would consider it for next year.

    I remember getting a speeding ticket that night and then hearing on the car radio that John Lennon was shot and killed in NYC.

    I believe the EHD has effected my hunting areas. Not hearing any shots on Opening day is something I've never experienced in 40+ years of deer hunting.

    Beautiful morning to be out... nice and overcast. Hunting out of my 3rd different ladder stand with the same results. Still haven’t seen a deer. Plenty of turkeys , ducks and squirrels though. The top left hand corner you can see a cubby that I’ve used in the past. Tomorrow’s forecast calls for a rainy day..... wish it would snow. Best of luck to those who are still hunting.

    Finally been able to get back out this afternoon for a couple of hours. Might even see a deer...... worth a shot anyway ( lol). Decided to try a different stand.
