  1. Had 6 deer come out from under a pine tree like 35 yards away. They walked out lined up one by one circled around a stump while eating it and one by one in a line they walked right back to where they came from. No shot too many trees and limbs. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. I've been moving my stand all over the woods trying to find the deer. First you look for sign and well used trails. Set up there for am and pm. Now the weather changes everything. If it's windy or rainy they do things differently than if it's clear and cold out. Also during the rut there is no real pattern just deers trying to bang. Then come gun season the deer are scared shitless they just run around like idiots. Once you find a spot and you see deer. Move the stand near where you see the deer. But like I said gun season is a crap shoot. Some deer go nocturnal and some deer just run around like dummies. Still you want to sit near a game trail but you want to go deeper into the woods cause everyone will be pressuring them to go hide Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Crazy deer

I had something similar. The doe sprinted passed me down the hill to where my buddy was sitting then sprinted back up the hill towards me . Stopped blew . Then continued sprinting up the hill. I think she's a hot doe looking for action Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. I hope this time change doesn't screw everyone up. I was up early anyway cause I'm excited to get back out there. And I noticed sunrise is an hour earlier to. Duh. Hopefully I can get@chefhunter86 up or I'm heading in alone. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  5. Pm sit was another fun sit. It started slow and the neighbors decided to get their guns ready for gun season so we had about 45 minutes of continuous close gun shots. After they calmed down i heard a noise to my right, swiveled to look and all of a sudden a doe comes running right passed me to my left. Runs straight to@chefhunter86. Then decides to run back to me. Comes in behind me and stops and blows and then runs up the hill. No good shot. Then about 70 yards up the hill a buck came walking in. He was smelling and licking and eating and working the ridge right above me. I decided to use the bleat can. No response. Bleat again. No response. Bleated again and I got a grunt! Amazing to hear it and it was my first time. We reciprocated a few times and all of a sudden the buck is running right at me. I see its a legal 8. Draw bow. It's still behind trees, pops out and gives me shot at 6 yards. But I shot over its back. Chef came over and gave me some additional pointers for next time. He is the teacher and I'm the student here. So now I know how to aim next time they get so close. But overall this spot had 4 bucks and 3 does today. All hot does with Horny bucks chasing. Hopefully tomorrow I can land my shot Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  6. No action yet this pm. Just some surfing in the tree Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  7. So a very fun morning for my self. Saw the forkhorn and doe early. A few hours later heard some more noise coming for thick stuff I'm sitting near. And all of a sudden a bigger doe than the first runs out around 70 yards being chased by another buck going up the hill. Then not even 10 minutes later a bruiser of a buck comes running down the hill that the previous buck just went up. His nose was down to the ground and he was full sprint down the hill. He was 80 yards away. About 15 minutes after I hear all this wrestling in the thick shit closer to me. I tried bleating and nothing. So I'm waiting and it gets louder. About 20 turkeys emerge and go the other way away from me. Then about 30 minutes after I hear grunting to my left and down hill. I hit the bleat can and I get a response. I look back and it's just@chefhunter86 messing with me. We decided to get down and move my stand for the afternoon sit closer to the path the big buck was running on. Chef wanted to go scout some thick stuff closer to creek. We found scrapes, rubs, poops, beds and a tree for chef to hang his stand. So he is all set up for a big buck tonight. Now having breakfast that he had his wife make for us. Fried potatoes, bacon and dippy eggs. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. Just watched a forkhorn chase a hot doe at 60 yards. Lol Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  9. The stand I'm in now gets flooded with light around sunset so I rotated it around the tree. Also I have more cover directly in front of me where they came from previously. However my back is now facing a trail Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  10. Just got up, time to get dressed and get my ass up a tree. Hopefully they are moving .....it's colder than a witches tit! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  11. @chefhunter86 I'm getting excited after catching up on the action whilst sitting in a meeting with nysdot. Who says males can't multi task Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  14. Thanks My neighbors are mostly family so they walk around the yard during the day at random times and the neighbors that aren't family have young kids that are always running around making noise. So I think they are safe during the day. And at night they are fully locked up. The chickens are never out free ranging they have a large run that they have access to. The biggest issue I've seen so far are hawks during the winter. They will come and sit and some times dive bomb at the chickens. But the run is fully fenced and the roof is fully meshed so it would be tough for hawk to fly and get them. I moved the camera so hopefully I can get better angle shots. 15. I set up a game camera looking at my chicken coop to see what visits it during day and night. I didn't see anything for a week so I moved it to a different spot right near a deer bed. Just as I expected it picked up 2 deer heading toward the bedding area. The camera also picked up a Possum and a bunch of Squirrels. It picked up these images that remind me of a Coyote. My neighbors did say they saw a Coyote a month ago during the day. It's a bad picture so I moved the camera to be more of an angle on the path the Coyote traveled. What do yall think? 16. From top of Ridge between 2 creeks Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  17. Back in the afternoon stand up the ridge. Hopefully they show up again like last week. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  18. Found something near my stand while walking in. About 35 yards away This is probably what was chasing those does Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  19. First deer sightings for me. Had 4 does come running out of nowhere. Stopped right under my stand. Looked right up at me. Stopped smelled looked smelled and mom kicked her foot and they all ran away Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  20. This climber has a similar position to sitting on the toilet. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  21. Sitting in ladder stand for first time this year. Very quick and easy to climb. But I forgot how much smaller the seat and platform are compared to my climber. Hopefully it's a quick sit with this temperature, they should be moving all morning Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  22. I was thinking of taking the weekend off because I have busy Friday night and Sunday. But since we found a hot spot last weekend and the weather should be favorable with this moon. I can't resist! Only 12 more hours till I'm at camp Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  23. Had a busy day! Very productive but went home empty handed. I picked a upper ridge spot near game trail for pm sit. With a few minutes left to day light I heard some crunching behind me. I couldn't see anything so I thought. Oh another jackass squirrel. But I watched that spot and a good size doe appeared from the brush. Then I hear more crunching and a big ass doe shows up. Then another one! Mind you I have no shot. It's behind me so the tree I was in is right in front of my stomach. I'm waiting and one of them starts walking towards a clearing . But turns up and pretty much walks right below me but thick sticks and twigs and leaves are in my way. Then one of the others starts walking towards the clearing. Yes! I get ready to shoot. I have a good line and let it rip. Missed.... but none ran away. They just walked a little away and looked at each other and then walked away together. So although I missed it found a nice spot that the does travel. Where there are does there should be bucks. So I'm going home to practice shooting and hopefully I have better luck next weekend. 24. Back in the woods for pm sits. Trying to find a good evening location. I'm at a game trail higher on the ridge. Good clear shooting lanes.@chefhunter86 is across the property on the ridge line. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  25. They walked right by and gave me perfect broadside shots. But they were at 45 yards and it's windy so I let them go. We now know the time and location of where they walk as they've walked same path multiple days in a row at same time Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
