    Sounds like the neighbor just popped something. Chef had a buck run by with a doe in the dark so he couldn't tell how big it was. It must have ran between us and then up the hill away from me to the neighbors. Took him two shots.     Let's go. Snow on the ground but melting. Heading to one of the furthest spots on the property. Good lanes and good coverage. Thick is to the left and pines straight ahead. Deer like to pop out of the pines and pass thru the shooting lanes to get to the thick stuff stuff. Or they will hang out on the edge of the thick and just walk around right at the edge.
