Good luck finding a gun. Im trying to get a savage 220. Out of stock everywhere and no idea when they will be

Love case knifes. They were originally made in my home town. Little Valley NY. Still have a couple of buildings, etc in the village from the case knife factories

I'm losing any hope of seeing anything. Definitely a tough season

Congrats nice buck, I see in the harvest tread you got him with the savage 220. How do you like that gun, thinking of getting 1 for next season. I already have all of the axis calibers except for 2 lol figured I'd get a savage shotgun.

I had the same thing happen Saturday morning as well. Hit him with 6.5 Creedmoor. No blood or hair at the hit sight, 30 yards from there little blood. Blood trail very minimal at the most but every drop was full of bubbles. No luck finding him either. Very frustrating

My headlamp, going to go grab it this morning I believe its by the tree i sat under yesterday. I hope

Just my honest opinion, but I think that when all these guys you hear sighting in there guns the weekend prior to the opener, alert deer that bad times are coming...and that the deer that are experienced for the most part lay low. I am sure that I will catch flack for this, but I notice that where I hunt deer sightings drop immensely near gun opener, but I also feel like gun opener is always near the mid, to end of rut anyways.
I saw one nice buck yesterday pass by twice, that I let go. It was a great experience
Agreed

From my view it is.......were you aiming at lungs? What was his reaction. Did he run....walk......buck in the air?

I thought maybe he bucked, quartering to me, 50ish yards. Stopped for a 2nd shot and I lost him

I wash the cloths in scent away detergent, place cloths in ozone a couple times a season, hang outside, spray down with scent away and try to play the wind.

I'm taking out my new savage 6.5 Creedmoor
