Nice. Are you still thinking of moving south to extend his season?

Were trying hit alittle set back. Gotta have a hip replacement. Schedule for September 30. Want to make sure everything is alright. Want to find the right place for us and not just settle.

  2. Just bought my son a wooden bat from powerhouse bats from Rochester. Small business I heard about from a wooden bat tournament. Also went last weekend to a local baseball tournament. Battle of the burgh in Plattsburgh Ny. We meet a scout from Toronto Blue Jays checking out local talent. My son only 9 visited with him. Another guy from Montreal baseball academy asked my son some questions. Said Brantley's baseball knowledge for 9 just watching the game was very good. Told him to practice batting right handed to become a switch hitter. Also asked what kinda bat he uses. He told my son they start there kids off with wooden bats at a young age. Asked what position he played. Told us what they were looking for in a player. He asked me a few times if I seen something wrong with players mistakes I said yea hesitation. He's like yup. Great weekend good Intel. Lots of good games. Son's got traveling team tryouts coming up here in September been working with him daily fielding and batting.

  3. Brantley's last game was cancelled due to weather and other teams lack of players. He'll be trying out soon for travel league in September. Worked him out today still got it with grounders and pop flies. Hitting will happen tomorrow at local diamond. Hope baseball is still on his mind lol. He wants WWE so bad him and his brother. Hope we haven't lost them lol. But try out is September he'll be ready.

  4. My garden is doing pretty pathetic. Deer are cleaning up my hard work lol. Brassicas are pretty much done. Last night they worked over my green beans. Positive note my tomatoes look fabulous no blight. Collards are doing good. Cucumber and squash and zucchini look okay what came from seeds. Beets and swiss chard very sparse even after planting a couple times. Corn few knee high all others second time planting ankle high. Hope things turn around or I ll just till it in.

Well I wanted to post updates along the way but its just been to damn busy!

Season is going well for Ben. Team has been struggling a bit for a bunch of reasons. We have been all over with tournaments. This week we’re heading to Lake Placid for a wood bat tourney. Then next Thursday starts a PBR tournament in Toledo OH.

Son tried out for the PBR Jr Futures games in Cortland last week. If selected he would go to LakePoint in Georgia at the end of the month.
He ended up doing extremely well and was picked!

He played 2 simulated games. First game the opposing pitched was throwing 79/80 fb, kid struck out the first 5 batters, I was anxiously watching Ben the 6th batter as he loves fast pitchers. Anyways he hits oppo shot down the right field line for a triple! Big sigh of relief knowing ur kid did well in that spot. Next at bat was a ground out. 3rd at bat was another triple right center one hop to the fence. Now I'm feeling like he did well enough for an invite.

2nd game: first at bat was another right center field triple, next a check swing hit to 2nd baseman, last at bat was another right center field triple. It was a wild day watching him do so well. Went 4-6 all triples. He was pumped afterwards, I’ll never forget that day no doubt!

So after Ohio we head to Georgia for the week as he represents team NY.

You'll be at the Adirondack lighting showcase? We have a local team playing there. Kangaroo court the Roos.

  8. Hopefully moving was put on hold. I guess I m in bad shape waiting for appointment with orthopedic doctor for a hip replacement. But me and @Swamp_bucks have a Pennsylvania bowhunt planned end of October. I will come back for downstate gun. Will have good hunting in Georgia on my buddies property in the satilla river preserve. I'm in rock and a hard spot not expected to be in lol. Life is what it is it's in god's hands now

  9. Got my lifetime license in mail yesterday. Usually doesn't come in till August. Glad to have it. Paid for bow muzzle and lifetime years back all to find out being a disabled veteran I would get it free. Nys got $981 from me oh well hope they put it to good use. .

  10. Town ball game tonight. Brantley went 3-3 2 rbis. Played great defense at 2 nd 1 st and 3 Rd base. There team won in bottom of 6 against another saranac team. Friends against friends they had fun and put on a show. 2 games to go till end then travel try out in September. Me and him practicing till then or till I have my hip replacement. He'll be ready and know what there looking for this time around.
