I'm not saying your lying. Just saying it's wrong on the ECO part. I never carry deer pee, and almost never carry deer calls. But that's the not the point. You don't have to be hunting coyote to carry a loaded gun or nocked bow after dark. It could be fox, coon, etc.

That wasn't the point. the point was that it's legal, but he is saying an ECO told him it was illegal. Bow or Gun. He's saying it's illegal after dark.

out west I always put the bolt of the rifle over a round when hiking around. but in NY with limited mountains, I chamber and walk in as quietly as possible and sitdown silent.

The shotgun i use for deer hunting does not chamber silently. That's why i do it at the vehicle. Maybe we need to invent something!

That’s me! I treat it like a loaded gun, which is loaded at the vehicle. Always pointed in a safe direction. I’m 100% nocked during legal shooting times. No reason not to be. In the dark if I have to get down a steep hill sitting on my butt or incline where I need my hands to climb I won’t nock. But If it’s a 100-200yd easy walk in, I’m nocked. 10/6: hunted 3N the morning until 10am. No deer seen. Checked a few cams on the way out. Same 3 bucks on all cams 400-500yds apart over the last month. The regular spike, the broken half rack spike, and shooter 8pt. Along with bobcat, yote and group Of does/fawns.
