  1. Nice buck walked by about 5 minutes before it was light enough to shoot (for me atleast). I saw his rack in binos as he left through a small field. Always something. Not meant to be. Also confirmed that he doesn't give a shit about black widow doe piss or me grunting. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk
  2. How do you like it. Been wanting to give it a shot but I'm scared I'll screw something up lol Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

    Scents

If you're hunting pre-rut, basically last week of October. Would you use buck urine or doe estrus? I'm 0 for 1000 with scents but I'm trying to turn this franchise around. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk
  5. Pm sent. May have to find a used option for RF too or whip out the tape measure. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk
  6. Thursday night, I had my bag next to my truck as I was loading my quad. I forgot it was there and apparently ran it over when I backed up. I didn't think anything of it.. when I got up to the property and I was prepping I notice my rangefinder is cracked and dead [emoji2356]... so I'm like well crap. Luckily the stand I was hunting only has a few shooting lanes that I had already ranged. Opening morning I get into stand and pull out my binoculars and they fell apart in my hand!!! I should have picked up and went home then. Needless to say, no shots taken. Saw a spike and a 4 pt all weekend. Time in the woods is still better than time at work but this time ended up being expensive. If anyone knows affordable options for both pieces I screwed up let me know [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

    Time

Good idea. My weather app usually tells me the opposite of what the real weather is anyway. I cant tell you how many times it shows sunny while I'm getting rained on in a treestand Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

Can anyone who has been out already or gets up early in general tell me when first light is. I never know how early to be in stand my first sit of the year. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk
  11. Not if you leave it in the oven until desired temperature. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  12. Ive tried everything except sous vide and the best for me is reverse searing. I season the steak, put it in the oven on 275 until internal temperature is around 125 (if you like medium rare). Take it out and let it rest for 10 mins. While its resting i put my cast iron pan on the stove to get as hot as possible. When the steak is done resting, I put it in for 1 minute on each side. When I flip I put in 2 garlic cloves and some butter. The last part you can leave out if you want but the steak will melt in your mouth, especially the high end steaks you're cooking. 14. Hi all, Does anyone know hunters near Columbus Ohio. A coworker informed me of a young lady with 2 kids that has hit hard times. She is having financial trouble, and I was thinking if there was a hunter out there that wanted to donate a deer it would go a long way in atleast keeping them fed. I emailed a processor out there but haven't heard back. Long shot here I know but figured I'd give it a shot. Let me know if anyone has any ideas. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  15. Don't know what to do about height but if you put the front of the trigger guard against the shooting rail, you'll be rock steady. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
