I saw one other one years ago at about 40 yards and this one was a lot bigger than that.  My guess was 200-300 lbs I know it's a big range but I really don't think it's smaller than 200 and deff not bigger than 300.  Wish my phone took a better picture.  But yes by far my best encounter ever in the woods.  If he comes in when im deer hunting I'm shooting at it.

I'm no expert, but I shot a 271# many years ago, and guys in my club have shot a few over the years. I would say certainly well over 200#, but less than 300.

While I was in Tennessee last week I stopped in a bow shop just to see what was there and chat a bit with some locals.  They told me they have a special “Velvet Weekend” in August when you can shoot a buck still in velvet.   My recently passed away friend had a caribou he shot in Nova Scotia that had its velvet still on, it was a really cool mount.

    Nova Scotia?

  3. A trip to Pa.or Ohio sounds like a nice change and a good time for a group of you guys, especially as you say, to start some new traditions to replace those that have been lost. I wish you all a lot of luck with that.

I also agree with Lawdwaz. If family obligations and financial hurdles can be overcome, I would highly recommend a western hunt for mulies, pronghorns, elk or whatever. I've been going to Wyoming every year since I retired and I have a blast every time I go.

Again, good luck with your adventure.

He might have squeaked by with 100,000+ Covid deaths and his incompetent response, but not with the pseudo tough guy postering of the last few days. Then again, I've been wrong before.

The danger - and I truly believe this - is that he may try and burn the whole thing down before he accepts the loss.

You mean like the Dems have been doing for three years.

This is a picture dependent thread.  I think we I can speak for the majority and say that we would like to see this masterful dish.

I understand, and believe me, I wish I could post photos. The problem is my old Samsung 3 is about 9 y/o and the lens is so scratched, everything comes out real hazy and fuzzy. Sorry. If it's a problem, I won't post on the thread anymore.

But Guns International has some very nice listings; but the prices are ridiculous at times and often inflated. Some are downright laughable.

If I could sell some of my rifles or shotguns what they ask on there I would sell the whole lot tomorrow. If I could get $4300 for my Blaser R93 like the one  thats on there right now (and mine has substantially better wood); I'd sell that too.

I bought a Sauer 200 on their that listed there at $2300, for $900 in the box new after it sat for a year and the seller got a dose of reality.

I have a half dozen 452's new and used and paid between 325 -425 used and about the same new.

Me and Larry going to try and reach a deal on this one; but a bit more then a hundred bucks.^_^

More like $109.99 and a bottle of syrup.:taunt:

How long ago was that? The last two 452's .22 LR, that I bought were $525 and $550 and they were going for more than that at the time in 2018.

  7. Go to Rimfirecental.com. The guys on the CZ page will be able to give you more info than you require or desire. GLWS, if that's what you're looking to do.
