  1. I switch out between a Griptilian and a Mini Grip.

Since 2/26/93 I have never been without a good knife and a good mini flashlight in my EDC.

Been to the Mayan Pyramids  in Mexico and did a cruise to Alaska , being retired Military we can go stay at any Military base on the cheap and will probably head out to Anchorage AF Base next year and rent a car and just drive wherever in the state !

Be sure to stop at Skinny Dicks Halfway Inn. It's between Denali Park and Fairbanks, right on RT 3.

    Talkeetna is very cool.

  3. Darn Tough. Spring, summer, fall and winter. Boot height full cushion. Been wearing 7 pairs for three years now and doesn't look like I'll be using their guarantee any time soon.

So mine is more of a cat name, but I named her Nala. I loved lion king growing up, so the name fit. Next dog i get will either be Mufasa or Rafiki

Best dog I ever had was a yellow Lab named Nala.

Couldn't agree more, the brainwashed have no use for facts.

Enjoy your freedom above all else mantra and don't give a damn about what your actions do to others. Me first is a great attitude for problem solving in this world.

That's right! Freedom above all else!

Millions have died for it, and you and others like you are more than willing, eager even, to go belly up and give it all away. Its disgusting.

  6. I alternate between Keen Pyrenees and Irish Setter Ravines and can't decide which I like better. I have both for 3 years now, and wear one or the other almost everyday of the year, and neither is showing any sign of giving up soon. There's a brand new pair of each sitting in the closet for when I eventually need a backup. They can both be found for right around $100-$120 if you catch a sale.

I was like you I so wanted to call and check in but I didn't. I figured if he spends his day answering phones he'll never get anything done.

    Exactly why I haven't called.

  8. That wait is killer, isn't it !?!? The only thing more stressful is being a single teenager and waiting for the results of a pregnancy test.

I probably have at least another two months until I hear anything about the Muley I shot and delivered to the taxi in Wyoming on Oct 2. I'm so tempted to call for a status, but I hate to be that guy.

I like full sneak mounts on whitetails. Enjoy him.

Scouted around Flugertown today.  Thanks for the tip!   Gonna head there in a couple weeks to camp.

Glad you're going to give it a shot! I used to love hunting and fishing  there in my younger days, back in the '70s. Please post back or PM with your impressions.

  10. Another vote for Carmines for Italian. 44th St. Times Square

For steaks, my two favs are either Smith & Wollensky at 3rd Ave and 49th (east side) St., or Old Homestead on 9th Ave at 15th St. (west side)

I know you didn't ask, but great Chinese at Mee Noodle Shop on Second Ave and 49th St.

Katz for pastrami and a knish.

  11. I have had 4 Stradic 4000FGs on Teramar rods, on the boat for about 5 years now, down here on the Gulf coast of Fl. I fish inshore at least a couple days a week for about 6-7 months a year. I keep them cleaned and lubed and change out the drags once a year and they've been work horses.

I don't think there's anyone who doesn't side with the fellow. I'm happy for him that he kept his cool.

I'm reminded of the guy whose vehicle was attacked by the roving asshole bikers in NYC. He accelerated out of danger, ran over a couple of bikes and paralyzed one of the bikers. They ran him down, pulled him from the truck and beat him. He wasn't charged. They were.

It sucks, but maybe it was safer for the cops to secure the fellow's weapon and get him out of there than engaging the mob.

The cops should have been kickin' ass and takin' names before the victim even had to draw his weapon.

AND, to be clear, I am pro police. I've had/have quite a few in my family. The decisions to allow this BS to happen unabated, comes from the PC pussies in command.

  13. Unreal how the cops let the crowd abuse this man and destroy his property without stepping in. But they were there in an instant when he dared to defend himself. Had they done the right thing to begin with, the victim would not have needed to resort to a display of deadly force. Had someone died in this incident, I would lay a lot of the blame at the cops' feet, along with that crowd of jackals.

I also agree with Buckmaster7600. Cocked and locked or don't bother carrying.
