    What about pants?

no pants - its a long jacket that comes to the knees or below the knees in my case. I will wear it over my sitka bibs and also wear camo mucks - so should not be a problem. You can get the pants and jacket but I didn't want the hassle of pants so just got the sapper kill suit.

  2. I looked at the leafy suits - actually have one in ASAT camo which blends pretty good - but its a pants and jacket and gets caught on twigs and sticker bushes. Got the sapper kill suit cause I could take with me and put on without worrying about going over boots. Got it today. tested it out for blending in, scared the bejesus out of my neighbor. Got with in 10 feet of him while cutting the lawn and had to move into the open before he saw me. quite happy with it I must say. Think I'm gonna get a snow one also for winter coyotes

  3. I was looking for a super portable blind to carry for run and gun purposes (deer/predators) for when I didn't feel like being tied to one of my 3 heavier less portable blinds (2 Lucky's blinds and 1 barronett big cat) or any of my ladder stands (i have 6 up at the moment). In my younger days I used to carry a loc-on limit stands and use tree/telephone spikes to get up the tree. Unfortunately 20+ years later and hopefully a little smarter I do not use my hang-ons or spikes anymore for safety reasons (I'm just to old to do that anymore). As I was blind hunting, I really did not see anything I wanted to tote along with all my other gear which is becoming heavier and heavier year after year. I then read where someone was using an allpredatorcalls.com kill suit  ( I have an old unbranded ghillie suit and it is way too heavy, bulky, cumbersome, and frankly just a PIA). After reading about the kill suit and watching some videos and getting some reviews on another predator hunting site, I broke down and picked up the APC Sapper in digital woodlands. It weighs in at 2lbs, cost $81 delivered and looked pretty good in the videos I saw. Am hoping this will do the trick as I should be able to sit in most any location I choose to try. Does anyone else use a ghillie or kill suit for predator or deer hunting?

So what was ur cost on these signs and what ru using to attach to trees/posts?

The decals will be put on .02 aluminum. Since I do signs, plaques, trophies, and custom engraving (stone/glass/pavers/etc) for a living my costs were pretty low as all my supplies I get at wholesale rates. - I think my costs were around $3/sign everything considered.

  5. got tired of replacing the tyvek posted signs where your name and address can't be read after awhile which is needed to legally post your land. Also the the fact they they eventually get blown away or partially unfastened from the tree/fence/etc.. This year decided to make my own by using outdoor rated printed vinyl decal on .02 aluminum backing. The decals are 12"x12" with my name and address printed on them and meet the dec legal posted sign requirements. They should last 5+ years without having to replace them and still be read. hoping I don't have to do it again for a long while.

  6. i use a double open ended hav-a-hart trap with no bait. I set the trap and place it in a position where the groundhog coming out of it's hole has to go through the trap. I enclose the sides of the trap nearest the hole so there is only one way to go. when he come out of his hole...bingo...trapped. I then relocate it. they say there is only a 3% chance the critter will make it once relocated, but I figure that's better than a 0% chance with a bullet. I usually set trap in the morning and take it down at noon. the reason for this is if I catch him, I want him to have time to find a new place, dig a new hole, etc with hours to spare rather than releasing him with an hour of daylight left. I know bleeding heart I have, but don't like killing something for nothing or doing just what they do, or just because i can. Caught one under my barn just last week within an hour after setting the trap. Blocked 1 hole, set the trap on the other.

The phrase "well regulated" during the time the Constitution was written, was meant to imply something running like a well tuned watch mechanism.

Any elected hack who thinks rights should be regulated to the point of being licensed privileges, needs to be removed from office for violating their oath of office and being too stupid to represent anyone's freedom.

    agreed!

I buy from Bud's at times.  Be sure to get the cash price which means you need to give account info.

yep ...got the cash price, free fed ex delivery...ordered yesterday....already have a tracking #. My local guy wanted $21/box + tax. That's a$5.30 difference per box or $63.60 per more order difference. I try to buy local but that's a lot of beans difference - had to pull an online order for that kind of money.

  9. I used a doe decoy once and it was attacked by the head doe. Snortin, blowin, circleing until it finally ran in on it to chase it off. Have not used one since. This was in jersey on a wild life mgnt area. Interesting to watch tho.

  10. sent ya a private message. I like the photon - just sighted it in on my bushmaster a few days ago. Battery life kind of sucks but it is simple to use, sight in. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles atn has (my personal opinion why they have so much trouble - try and include everything including the kitchen sink). You get a lot of bright bounce back off the leaves, trees ect when using a bright external IR source with any of the digital night vision scopes (I use the sniper hawg ir lights) so you have to adjust the ir for the area your in. I can see a good 300 yards with the IR but I don't like shooting past 150 yards especially at night. As good as the photon is and the wraith is claimed to be no digital night vision will compete with my 750 marauder with the white phosphor tube (gen 2+ night vision). I have the photon on the bushmaster - it will be a spare gun for someone who wants to go with me. I will be putting the wraith on my rock river predator pursuit which will be used as my day gun and will allow me to extend my hunt into evening as well if my day hunt gets into darkness. I also have a coyote carbine from rock river that I have the real night scope on and will use that only when I go out after dark. the wraith looks pretty sweet tho and the sightmark digitals have a good reputation. Have had my photon for about 3 years now.

  11. opening up the upper is a pain in the beginning but it gets used to like anything else. I chose to have all of my mags (5 rounders) pinned in place with the ma lock(means arms ar lock) and keep the features I wanted like the adjustable stock (light vs heavy clothing), pistol grip, flash suppressor for night vision with my night vision scopes, etc. Also the 5 round pinned mag is no questions asked for hunting purposes and the troopers here know that if they press the mag release and nothing happens - you're good to go. So I did it to eliminate any problems with DEC and police. I also carry the laws and interpretations of them in the hollow pistol grip---just in case as they all don't know what is legal and what isn't.

    good luck with the build

The wraith was my 2nd option. But the reviews and opinions arent out there like the ATN products are. ATN got a bad wrath for awhile, but alot of people I talk with or read about, had issues prior to the 4k model. Just like anything there will be a bad one that slips through. And if anyone is like me, I dont put a review on anything, unless I got screwed or it was a garbage product, described as gold.. Keep me posted on the WRaith when you get it. Im very interested. Please and Thanks.

    hope that helps some

btw...my bushmaster 16" with my photon xt and sitting bipod is just a shade under 11lbs.

My rock river arms predator pursuit (will be my day gun with the wraith) will come in around 11 pounds with bipod

my rock river arms coyote carbine (my pure night gun) with my gen2+ marauder is about 10 3/4 lbs which i will use with my night stalker tripod/pig saddle combo.

I use a sniper hawg IR light also to help illuminate
