Four donated to Hunters Helping The Hungry... one for hot dogs and pepper stix and the other went to my buds at the gas station... another great thing I love about hunting, sharing the venison and the smiles on their faces!
-
No, it was the Rocket Sledgehammer!
-
That was the deer, I was expecting it to get the drunk legs and drop, but then it ran and I heard it crash behind a thicket. With a 2" cutting diameter head I expected blood to be pumping out when it stopped... weird because there was a lot of blood where it stopped...
-
Thanks guys... this deer was shot with the Rocket Hammerhead, 2" cutting diameter and a pass through, shot from a 70 LB bow w/350 grain arrow @ 331 FPS. I thought she was going to drop when she stopped, she ran another 50 yards!

Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you very much Cabin Fever.
-
Yes, I am loving the new bow! Thank you!
-
Thank you, have a safe and successful season!

The bow is a little over $800.00, the accessories depend on how wild you want to go! Dang she looks sexy! Best of luck with her and plenty of dead animals to eat! Here is mine in action, she is soooo quiet, dead in the hand and fast! 70 LBS, 29.5" draw, Meta peep, D loop, 350 grain arrow & spittin' em out at 331 FPS!

I hear that, I am just a regular bow hunter that happens to bring along a video camera and shares hunts... when I realized that a lot of young and new bowhunters were watching the videos, I really started to focus more on quality shots, I think it is very important for them to see where arrow placement should be and I show patience in the videos waiting for the right shot. Too many times you see these so called "pro staffers" making bad shots, they have someone working the camera, make the right shot! I hate hearing "I hit too far back, we will come back in the morning"... I understand it is hunting, but they are professionals and it happens a lot... I don't know, I just shake my head at a lot of these shots on these shows, seems like they just pick up people that are not really "professional" and they should practice and try to perfect their sport more like a real professional athlete would.

The speed was a pleasant surprise... they had 3 shots through the Chrony for a buck at the 3D shoot, it was the fastest at 331 FPS... with the peep and D loop, not too many bows shoot as advertised, the Obsession Lethal Force does! But like I said, a pleasant surprise, the best thing about the bow is how accurate, quiet, smooth and vibe free it is... I was shooting with a bow technician and he kept saying how flat it shot. I hope you like it as much as I do, best of luck with it and lots of dead critters!

Awesome time shooting with friends at the LPA 3D shoot yesterday! Got to shoot the Obsession Lethal Force through the Chrony, at 29.5" draw, 70 LBS, string loop, Meta peep and shooting a 350 grain arrow... 331 FPS! Nice!!!

The price is great and they are tough! All I used was the Torrid SS in this video (except the squirrels, an Adder w/field points) and all were quick kills.
-
like you said, to each their own... I still think the string is a non issue and worrying about a string breaking and the chances of that happening are as good as your plane crashing going to Canada on that deer hunt!
-
The string thing, I don't see that being an issue. I have been bow hunting over 30 years and been on a good number of hunting trips and I never popped a bow string. Is it because Excaliburs eat strings? Serving wears quick from the 200 pound limbs?
-
20 1/4" not cocked.
-
That was a red fox, he had the mange bad. WNYBuckHunter is correct, all of the game in the photos were taken in NJ.

The Excalibur Vortex draw weight is 200 pounds! 200 pounds to get 330FPS (SZ350 is 135 LBS @ 350 FPS) and 200 pounds going off is loud! I am not a Stryker staff guy and I have never been given aything from Stryker, I just think when you compare them to the others, they do it with less physical weight, they do it with less draw weight and they did have growing pains that they did take care of... the Stryker could sell for hundreds more and still be a great bow for the money!
