  1. Thanks guys! No, he was gutted, floated great, cooled down quick and got a good cleaning, brook ends up about 60 yards from my truck!
  2. Season 5 is almost here, NY is on the list this year!
  3. When they whined about crossbows and then turned around and started hunting with a crossbow... they were cry babies... or what is better known as followers, they see more of their buds getting crossbows and then they jump on the bandwagon. You will see it happen in NY.
  4. The argument against crossbows is starting to diminish here in NJ, it is still there but not close to how it was 5 years ago... and the funny thing is how many that were crying like babies actually tried it and liked it! Bet the same thing happens in NY.
  5. Going from your $250.00 crossbow to a bow like the Scorpyd, I wouldn't look at it as just doubling your range, everything about the bow and it's performance/shootability is a factor. First thing you notice is when you pick it up, the riser is between your hands and is perfectly balanced, awesome for run and gun turkey hunting or still hunting. The next thing is that it is on the light side at 7.5 lbs. and it has THE best trigger on the market. The bow is quiet and has the best draw weight to arrow speed ratio on the market! I have an invite to hunt NY and I quickly checked out the laws, did I see that crossbows can be used during firearm season? Future experiments will include penetration on deer, season opens in under 3 weeks here in NJ and I am in management hunts where townships are over-populated and numbers need to be reduced... I'm ready and I hope to fill the freezer and freezers of family and friends quickly and then start to donate to Hunters Helping The Hungry. Hopefully I will get plenty of pass through footage, shouldn't be a problem even at 100 yards, the bow shoots with 173 FPKE!
  6. LOL, that was a pretty big spider! Lucky for him he was out of season... Pope & Young for sure!
  7. A couple things, the first shot I just shot the arrow without release fluid, but it was not a problem! I opened the side door and pulled out a panel that the head didn't reach and then I easily pulled the panel the head was in off the head, I then unscrewed the head and easily pulled the arrow out. The next shot I used arrow release fluid and pulled it out. Only 3 shots into the new panels so too early to tell how it will hold up.
  8. Thank you! Sounds like I have a spot in NY by Syracuse... buddy used to hunt and he put out some food plots this year and he wants me to come up and get him some meat!
  9. Well, getting there... Big Shot Transformer broadhead target has... Transformed! Added 2 high density panels and it is stopping 440 FPS/173FPKE! Now that the target is squared away... I noticed something... I shot German Kinetics at 50 yards at 440 FPS and they flew like the field points! I have not touched my scope! This is where my field points were sighted in! I hope to knock out 100 yds this weekend!
  10. Not sure if you are talking about the video where the broadhead was shot into the broadhead target when you mentioned 8" penetration... but if so, that arrow penetrated 22 1/2" (including broadhead). The guy that said "false advertisement"... I am just messing around and taking the time to set up, record, edit and upload a video that may help archers. I have high density foam coming for this target and I will post fixed blade performance... but if the broadhead does well grouping at 100 yards, it won't just be the broadhead, it will be the bow, arrow (spine matched and indexed) and broadhead. Also, at 100 yards, just for giggles, sand bag your crossbow and see what kind of group you get... if you don't have the right arrows, you may think that the 2 arrows you saw touching in the video is BS! The Spynal Tapps in the video were cut from 26" shafts, .001 straightness taken to the next level and the fletching is flawless... precision arrows alone will blow your mind when it comes to accuracy and you are not getting it when you buy a box of arrows from the shelf! With that said, let's see how those broadheads do when the target is squared away, the experts may get a little surprise!
  11. First shot at 25 yards... had a little set back... the plan was to move back from there... just waiting for Big Shot high density panels for this Transformer target and then the test will continue... false advertisement... lol
  12. I was getting ready to do some long range testing with the Spynal Tapp arrows and German Kinetics broadhead... well, first I spoke with Big Shot about their Transformer target and ordered one... not very happy with the results, heads up for others that are shooting EXTREME speeds and you don't waste your money on this target.
  13. Thank you! These arrows are amazing! He actually cuts down a 26" .001 straight arrow and does his magic and builds the sickest shooting splinters!
  14. If you want the best, Scorpyd is it and they are not the most expensive! Scorpyd has something for everyone! From 110 lb draw shooting 370 FPS to the world's fastest crossbow with 175 lb draw shooting 440 FPS! Compare the draw weight to arrow speed and it blows everything else out there away, but that's not all, 2.5 lb trigger pull that is second to none! Balance, quiet... I just finished a video on the Orion Extreme:
  15. Reverse draw is it! And then there is everything else. Perfect balance with the riser between your hands, increased power stroke for an unmatched draw weight to arrow speed ratio (Scorpyd). If you are having issues cocking your Vengeance and it came with a long rope cocker, try a short sled cocker. Get yourself a Hawke scope, you set the turret at 20 yards and then the speed dial at 30 yards and all of the yardage is auto set to 100 yards! That's a beautiful thing!
  16. The Scorpyd Orion Extreme 175 at 440 FPS, the world's fastest production crossbow! And she is quiet with a sick 2.5 lb trigger pull!
  17. Best of footage from the last couple years... deer, turkey and hogs with multiple view angles!
  18. Yes, also coming... 80 LB draw limbs shooting 350 FPS!!! And 100 LB limbs shooting 400 FPS!!! Rope cocker on the 80 LB model will take 40 LBS to load!!! Youngsters and the ladies are going to love that!!! And talk about quiet and no vibe at the shot with the best trigger going off the charts! Taken to the EXTREME!!!
  19. When I told my son it will shoot 440 FPS... he had that smile again... the smile he gets when he is 20 feet up with a Scorpyd in his hands!
  20. Thank you very much!! We really appreciate all of your support and taking the time to vote!
