The First Multi-View Video for Season 5!!!
TheFieldArcher replied to TheFieldArcher's topic in Bow Hunting
Thank you! -
Thank you very much! as long as they get to you quickly, there is really no shoot in time with Americas Best Bowstrings Obsession uses. Did you get to shoot the bow? This years cam has a btter transition to the valley, very smooth and man, dead in the hand at the shot! Best of luck with your Phoenix! My stabilizer is like 20 years old, my quiver is even older, still using the Kwikee Kwiver! I take it off when I get to my stand so I have all of those brackets at my stands to clip it on.

VIDEO: Hawke XB1 SR Crossbow Scope
TheFieldArcher replied to TheFieldArcher's topic in CrossBow Hunting
Thanks! That speed selector is right on the money too! -
Thanks everyone! It is slow and if you have shoulder problems etc... it would be awesome. I have no problem cocking the 150 LBS with the short sled... but I am keeping it on as a back up if I forget my cocking sled.
-
Thanks Guys!!! Been around for several years... If you could shoot a soft, fluffy down pillow, that is how it shoots... very quiet and nothing at the shot as far as vide... and they are fast! Awesome draw cycle and you can hold it all day... feels like you could unclip your release at full draw, range the deer and clip back on and the string never moves until you want it to! The bow is very light too!

Well, kind of... that is what I told my wife and I am sticking to it! Last year was my sons first year hunting, he started with the crossbow and this year he is heading out with MY compound bow! And since he stole my bow... well, I had to get a new one!!!

Before you head into your stand...
-
You can order the Orion without the AcuDraw and save $$$, I have a Ventilator 125 and had no problem cocking the 125 LBS with the short direct pull cocker... well, the 150 LBS is not bad either with the short handle cocker! If you have no issues with your back or shoulders, you really don't need the AcuDraw.
-
The cocker housing actually makes a nice rest... price wise, not the most expensive! And what ever floats your boat, some guys will spend more than 10 X that on a gun... and then X 2 fine tuning their gun just the way they want it!
-
I just measured it, 19.75".
-
Thanks! This thing is a tack driver and the trigger is unreal! Love it! Hope to have a review soon.
-
Scorpyd is quiet out of the box, the Limbsaver X-Bow kit will quiet it down even more... got the new Broadband on order.
-
That is a Caldwell Deadshot Fieldpod... I got it at Cabelas.
-
On my way home and as I turned onto my street... I couldn't believe what I saw... Santa came across the tree tops low!!! So I punched it into my driveway and there was a box in front of the door... I got out of my truck and heard " HO! HO! HO!"... I opened the box... OMG!!! THE Scorpyd Orion! WOW, put the scope on and it was in the x-ring on the first shot at 20 yards! 2 shots and the 30 was set... love the ACUdraw and the Hogue grip looks and feels awesome! Review coming soon!

The Best Buy In Bow Hunting
TheFieldArcher replied to TheFieldArcher's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Thanks Guys... no, they don't pay me and I am not sponsored by Carbon Express, just passing it along, I have probably killed over 50 deer with them over the last 4 years in NJ, some with the crossbow too and they handled the 380 FPS no problem! They are $12.97 a 3 pack in the store, I also found them here very cheap: http://www.blackbearsportinggoods.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ELLCRX55540&click=12 -
Tacoma Hunting Rig Build Video
TheFieldArcher replied to TheFieldArcher's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Sweet 4Runner, I had an 84 and 85, here is a pic of my 84, painted it that Chevy Geo turquoise from the early 90's. -
If you have a Toyota Tacoma hunting rig... I just went with the ToyTec BOSS lift and it is awesome! Sway is gone! Truck rides great on and off road, not stiff at all and the kit adds up to 3" of lift. The 285/70R16 Nitto Trail Grapplers needed no trimming to fit and ride very smooth and quiet on the road.
