growalot
As they say...my inoculant for the hemp arrived and even though the forecast is rain this next 5 days ...there's no hurry on that fast growing plot....the clover plots and the alfalfa are sprouting and the established ones are scattered with deer droppings...I went for a walk and tree top removal and checked the fruit trees...nice working in a gentle cool rain....the happy camper comes on two fronts...one of my persimmon trees is just loaded with tiny fruit and at least one of the 200 red oak has tiny acorn buds growing....also two apples are in first production .....stoked about the up coming season
landtracdeerhunter
I f you have apples, consider lucky. We have no apples, wild or crab, no cherries, no peaches, and few pears from second new growth blossoms which seems rare. Oaks and hickories look promising here. Added seed for more pumpkins. growalot
Yes very lucky and It's funny....some trees not only lost the blossoms but got fire blight to boot and others came through in spades...I'm surprised the very young ones fruited...the persimmon are a late blossom so That wasn't as big a surprise but a good persimmon crop means a good gun season...No plums nor cherries and lost the top of one of my best trees...but good note...the gobbler oak the buck raked the crap out of last year...refused to die and is re-sprouting from the lower trunk....rebar and a cage ...goes up this week end
