Septic Tank Alternatives

My friend and I are considering purchasing some land with a small cabin. The cabin has electricity but no water or septic. I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with composting and/or incinerating toilets. i also heard that some incinerating systems will alos handle gray and black water. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of options are controlled by township ordinances. Maybe an outhouse is a good option .... lol. Whatever you do, consider that someday you may want to put in a well. So if you get involved with seepage pits or composting or dumping chemical toilet refuse, etc., consider where such things are located relative to any potential well sites.

will need to check with town many are no longer allowing out houses chem toilets composting ect. only allowing septics and sometimes requiring instal at time of sale.
