started hunting this property 8 years ago, and what a transformation of the quality of deer. back the all pictures of bucks were small young bucks, then it was a heavy hunted area but not anymore. now we have about 600 acres total and guys cooperating on dm. As per trail cameras and lots of them, ratio of quality older bucks to small younger bucks back 8 years ago was 1/8, now its about 1/2. so far this season been seeing alot of nice ones, that didnt go nocturnal yet.

I was planning on getting up this Friday but that's not happening as per Sandy. I live on the south shore of long island which got pounded. Went on this morning for a recon mission for my boat. People thought it was a good idea to pull there boats out of the water and put them up on blocks in the marinas, well with a 10+ surge of water those boats went floating down the residential blocks onto people's yards, porches, gardens, and where ever they came to rest. In my marina that holds about 400 boats about 50 people left theirs in. Of those 50 was mine and not one bit of damage. Seems if you kept your boat in and tied it up right, the boat would make it thru. I will post some pics later when I have better internet service.
