ants
Sounds kind of like the one I have. I shoot left handed so my quiver is on the left side of the bow. I mount the holder on the left side (as you're facing out) of my climber platform, so the arrows in the quiver hang off of the left side and don't hit the stand. Only draw back is that I have to grab the bow with my draw hand and switch it over, but its not that big of a deal. If you remove the quiver it wont matter what side you mount it on, but I like leaving mine on.

irish_redneck
no idea, just felt like something I didn't wanna be doing. Not sure if it leads to pathways for fungal / bacterial infection to the tree. and it takes time to screw it in each and every time, at whatever height / angle / tree is needed at that time. irish_redneck
"Drilling bore holes is not advised as it can spread the bacteria to healthy wood." "creating holes in trees can damage them and also kill them, drilling a hole in a tree breaks through the cambium which is the life support of the tree." "Drilling a hole in a tree would not cause the tree too much damage to kill it off, however you have now left an open wound for any bacterial pathogens to creep in through, and then they kill of the tree, these happen naturally but creating holes in trees can increase the chance of this happening." irish_redneck
Like I said, just following my gut feeling on the matter... but looking into it now, it appears to not be healthy for the tree. I use those hangers on my hangon / ladder stands. For my climber I have a strap with hooks for my gear, and got that summit thing for my bow. The climber moves around so much depending on wind / location , I didn't wanna be damaging my future lumber investment too badly.
arrow nocker
i love my bow hanger i put on my summit.Like i said it is just two bolts but it is great.I take off my quiver and strap it with the seat bungee,so it is strapped to the tree .Then i have my bow right at the left where i can have my hand on the handle ready to shoot with my arms resting on the arm of the climber just relaxing.Have arrow in and ready.Best up grade since the grip tape i put on the platform. No i am thinking of a way to make one for my muzzle loader on the right side. Mine is the open shooter,so i don't have the shooting rail to rest the MZL on. I've been putting holes in trees for many years with no ill effects.
