ants
I use 3.5" for turkey but you definetly don't need 3.5". The first few spring Toms I ever shot (years & years ago) were with my old 870 loaded with 2 -3/4" high brass pheasant loads. Killed em deader than dead. I eventually went to 2-3/4" Turkey loads and now I use the 3.5 " just because I have it. If could only hunt turkeys with a 12 gauge, full choke loaded with plan old high brass #6, I wouldn't bitch too loud.
dbHunterNY
treeguy, you really have to take your dad to see what fits him best my wife bought me a 3 1/2" benelli for christmas, great gun, just don't fit me so it sits in the safe I just gave my nephew a moss 835, never really liked it, still a good gun a well fit gun is like an extension of your arm, and everyone has a little different feel I also have never shot the browning maxus, but I held one and it felt great, I think that will be my next one Benelli guns new come with a set a shims for cast and drop of comb so you can ensure that they will fit. Still didn't like it?
