13BVET
Seriously considering buying this .25 air rifle. It's only $100, which is damned cheap for a .25. Any thoughts?
Elmo
What brand and model is it? I know nothing about airguns.
13BVET
Hatsan. It's the same brand as the one I brought hunting that time. I believe it's the 1000 series.
13BVET
Hell, Elmo, I know you own a Benji. You must have a little knowledge on airguns, LOL. Can't wait to get out small gaming, since the deer season sucked. Got any extra stew meat??

Can't wait to get out small gaming, since the deer season sucked. Got any extra stew meat?? Ha! Actually I asked Shawn to tell me which one to buy and I just bought whatever he recommended. Only criteria I gave him was that it had to be short (so no break action) and I didn't want to mess with any complicated air tanks or anything. The deer I took went fast! I ended up giving a lot of it away. I didn't mind though. If I didn't get anyone hooked or interested in hunting, at least I got a few people to at least understand hunting and not look down on it. I'm going to see if I can get out there and do some hunting this Saturday. It's going to be my only chance till after the wedding.
shawnhu
Stan, how much FPE is that Hatsan dishing out? With your .22 and .177, you can take out almost all small game except yotes. A .25 that can sling 25 grains at 850 fps would be able to have enough force to take yotes IMO. Keep in mind, .25 pellets are online order only and they run 5-10 cents a pop. Felonious_Monk
Not to derail the thread, but I've been meaning to ask you Shawn, can the marauder chamber and fire cast bullets? shawnhu
The .25 cal Mrod has an action large enough to chamber the extra long Predator Polymags, and the magazine fits them too. There's also a single tray loader for the Mrod that would allow loading of one pellet at a time. I don't know the dimensions, but I believe fitting a cast bullet should be no problem.
