Coyote Hunting

I was thinking if anyone wants to go this weekend or next weekend for some coyote in Stewart or Sterling forest. Figured if few guys go we have better chances especially with this weather. Anyone down?

Saw a bunch of coyote signs up in Stewart last weekend. A couple of people interested in heading to Stewart this weekend for a variety of game. I don't think we're targetting coyotes in general but it's definitely on the menu if the oppurtunity game up.

forcast for some snow friday night, should be good to track for coyotes saturday morning.

Night hunting is allowed in Stewart and Sterling, permit and phone call required for Sterling.

You can track a coyote all over the forest, and still can't find it. They're fast and small. Best to use the pheasant fields and call to draw them out.

Last time I saw one.The distance was about 100+ yards.I couldn't shoot.So far for 4 buck shots.

The problem is I have one nice custom build rifle 204 with incredible speed 4150 fps,but I can't use it in Stewart.......

spent wednesday at the range to sight in my coyote rig. what a great day

took about 30 shots then pfffffft, dragon claw just quits for the day.

she can take on air & hold pressure but it just won't fire the projectile. i'm still trying to figure out what went wrong.

of course, the weather improved once the gun quit working

manlixer, have a well thought out plan when you go after that coyote. Too many failed attempts and you'll end up educating that coyote.
