Local gun shop owner is closing his doors. Says he doesn't want to do it but he isn't going to stay in business to spend all his time doing paperwork for NYS.

Are gun shops required, under little king Andy's new law, to do back ground checks for private sales or can they opt out??

As I understand it, they don't have to do the NICS for private sales but they still have to do the checks and recordkeeping for ammo if they sell it.
