H&R 20 Gauge Single Shot Rifled Slug

Anyone has any experience with teh H&R 20 gauge slug barrels? Looking for a shotgun that'll push out to 100 yards but don't want to spend the money on a Savage 220. Since I already have a H&R, I figure I can just buy a 20 gauge barrel for it. Can't get any accuracy out of my 12 gauge Mossberg's smooth bore barrel and she kicks like a mule! I'm willing to admit the recoil of the 12 gauge slug it the max I can handle. Wondering if the 20 gauge out of a H&R single shot will be less. I read on online some people think it's the same as a 12 gauge out of a regular shotgun since the H&R single shot is so light of a gun.

Yeah, I have the Ultra Slug Hunter in 20 gauge. I will only speak for my gun, it is pretty accurate.

Slug guns are strange. Some people claim all kinds of accuracy with their gun, but I have seen some dismal performance at the range. I did go through plenty of ammo to find what would work with mine. The recoil with the limb saver slip on, I could shoot it all day.

From read say or hear say forum info you need to know if your action is a SB1 or SB2 for compatibility with the barrel and then send it to H&R to have the barrel fitted. Did you ever think about getting a rifled cantilever barrel for the Mossy?

Once I found out I was allowed to use muzzleloaders in most shotgun only areas, I went with a muzzleloader instead.  Gives me the accuracy and distance I want that I couldn't get from the 12 gauge and plus it doesn't kick like a mule.
