Pav2704
I was wondering when the best time to plant my chestnut trees? I ordered them bareroot and have since planted them into two gallon pots. They are sitting on my deck in the backyard and have all leaves. I bought grow tubes and the weed mat for them as well. I also plan on putting up some type of wire mesh so the deer dont destroy them. My concern about planting them next week is that I will only be able to water them every other week. They would have to rely on mother nature for the rest??? Would I be better off planting them in September?
G-Man
If there leafed out I would leave in pots till fall after leaf drop or plant in april next year.. they will take a big shock to being moved again after leaf out.
