raft of sea ducks

I'm down at the beach on most days at various times. Today was the first day, this year, that I saw ducks that migrate here. It was a raft of sea ducks . A few broke from the group and came into the surf. I didn't see any flying, just swimming.

I never remember seeing them this early. I watch for them every year, but never hunted for sea ducks except for Old Squaw.
