Grouse?

What should I plant to help the grouse population?  I've got 50 acres to work with.  I'm looking for "plant it and forget it" type stuff.  Someone recommended grapes and berries.  Any ideas?

just about any short fruit bearing plant should work

what does your 50acres consist of?  elderberry, service berry, black berry, choke cherry just to name a few.
