phade
While I am sold on Covert's 2012 and 2013 models after owning more than 100 cams in my time, I'm no fool when it comes to dollars and sense (pun intended). http://www.cabelas.com/product/Bargain-Cave/Hunting/Trail-Cameras%7C/pc/105591780/c/105649380/sc/105668280/Spypointreg-2-N-1-Surveillance-Camera/1570484.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Ftrail-cameras%2F_%2FN-1104720%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_105668280%3Fsadid%3D44700000474936030%26WTz_l%3DSBC%253Bcat105591780%253Bcat105649380&WTz_l=SBC%3Bcat105591780%3Bcat105649380%3Bcat105668280 For someone who wants to "try" black flash, this is the perfect entry level cam at this price point. It's not going to be the best photo/video quality, but it'll be usable and "good but not great," if that makes sense. The flash is invisible, plus you get the white flash, too, if you want to use that (I'd toss it...). It takes 6 AAs and will give you some decent battery life on quality alkalines and lithiums. The camera is pretty well made and Spypoint is probably above average in warranty #s and service (pure observational info on my part though). It is a great cam to pair up with the HME screw in adapter mount, to mount up high and angle down - it'd make a great scrape cam. Again, it's not going to be a $200 level camera, but for those who want to learn and tinker with black flash, this is a great entry point.
